I want to make a group goal for 200km run total. How can i invite people who aren't subscribed?

I forgot to end my activity before getting in the car and driving home. I cropped my activity to remove the drive, but it’s still showing up as “my longest activity on Strava” It would be nice if this updated when the activity gets updated. 

Today i recorded a virtual 5k run in Strava which should have synced with NYRR site. This counts for the virtual competition i have registered with NYRR. I would like Strava to rectify this issue by syncing the data with NYRR 

UPDATE FROM STRAVA: Hello. This issue is now resolved. Thanks to everyone who posted here about it, we appreciated your patience while we worked to get this fixed.   Has anyone had this issue? I am able to share activities successfully to FB from either desktop app or mobile app from Strava. However, I get a random thumbnail of a woman (and it's not a prior photo I've used) when sharing the link, rather than the preferred image I use or even the map anymore. I could not find anything on Google, Reddit or the Strava Community Hub about this issue. Most searches get results about dealing with "random followers" or other map issues but not rendering issues to other platforms. TY! I love Strava otherwise. 🙂

I’ve created a group for a team of people for accountability for their training as we head into an international tournament next year. We can’t seem to share links in the group discussion, is this a bug or are we doing it wrong?

Since a couple weeks/ months the feedback doesn't show I rode together with other strava users. I haven't changed any settings. It worked woth those users in the past. Any idea what I can do? Adding/ inviting to the ride doesn't be the answer. That will add up the km's to my totale which is not gooed. Thanks in avance. Regards, Rick

I have data in Strava going back to 2012.   Not even sure how long I have been a subscribing member but a very long time.  Would be a great to have both LifeTime PRs and Best Efforts and the ability to choose default timeframe for PRs and Best Efforts. Unfortunate truth is my 2012 PRs and Best Efforts are all but irrelevent to me now.   Would love to be able to set my “age group” so that the default for all my PRs and Best Efforts would be my personal results while I was in that Age Group and not my All Time Bests.   Alternatively, I would be able to set my default time frame for what I see on a daily basis.  Frankly its annoying that I am getting my ATBs on a daily basis.  

Strava shows the Apple watch indoor bike ride as just a ride and tags it as an indoor ride. Why does it not categorize the ride as a virtual ride just like Zwift and Fulgaz?

Receiving upload failed today for a workout data upload to strava app I'm developing, but the maximum requests I have made were 15 in 15 minutes, and 63 in a 24 hour period. But yet every time I try to upload an entry I’m getting the 429 status and upload fails. Why is this?

Now that Strava’s new Developer Program has introduced a limit on the number of athletes who can register with an app, we can see the number of "athletes currently connected" in our API settings.I can see that the number in the API settings (Strava side) is higher than the number of athletes using my app. I seem to remember (maybe incorrectly) that there was a time when apps did not have access to the deauthorization endpoint, so I (and maybe others) would simply delete the athlete account on the app side and ignore the incoming webhooks for those athletes.The net result is that some devs will now want to deauthorize 'stale' athletes, but they no longer have the access tokens required by the endpoint.Now that a limit is being put on the number of connected athletes per app, will there be an opportunity for devs to deauthorize athletes without access token? I’m new to Strava. I did a ride around 12km on my bike commute yesterday. The GPS tracking went haywire, scribbled all over the middle of my route and subsequently says that I cycled 16km. I assumed that I could remove the error part by editing the map, but it appears that I can’t do so? This clearly required feature is available on Runkeeper! Can I not remove GPS tracking errors?

My Polar app have recorded both total time and moving time. 10 minutes between these two times, but when I upload to Strava the pace is calculated based on the total time and not the moving time. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

I used the new AI-generated route generator on the mobile app (why wouldn’t this start on the normal route builder?).  After several attempts to get a route that seemed rational, the few resulting routes took me on very dangerous roads.  One had me on the main interstate the runs through my city.  The one I used recently was in a new are that I hadn’t explored yet (unfamiliar with the roads), so I gave it a try.  I really wanted this to work well.  In the end, the route had me ride on about 12 miles of very unsafe roads that were single lane, no shoulder, busy with traffic.  What I learned is that these routes should just not be trusted and only used in areas you’re already familiar with.  I think there are a few necessary features that are missing for “safe” route making to ever work properly.Time of day of the sourced bike traffic:  Riding at 6AM on a specific road may end with a much different experience than riding at 10AM.  Trying to create routes for different time

The activity type field in the activities.csv file is “Bike” for both road rides and gravel rides, so the distinction is essentially lost. The activities.csv file should include a “sport type” field (matching the API), which supports values like “GravelRide.” As it stands, users are unable to obtain a faithful copy of their data in bulk.

I’m looking to update the PowerShell module started here: https://github.com/adamdriscoll/stravapwsh.  However, the challenge I’m having are the requirements put on me with regard to creating a new application.  I’m just interested in getting a Token to utilize the module and update it, not create an application.For example, I’d like to be able to perform all the various available API calls, but from the terminal.  Any help in acquiring a Token without creating an app is appreciated.

I've noticed that links with certain domain names, such as.xyz or.com, are supported (meaning they're recognized and clickable), but.app domains are not. Is there a list of domains that are supported? Unfortunately, my Strava app currently uses a.app domain. Is there a plan to provide more support?

When I check my efforts on a given segment, Strava always shows "Running Power" (watts) by default, instead of heart rate — and there’s no way to change this or set a personal preference.I’d like to request that users be allowed to choose which metric is displayed by default in the segment effort table.For short or consistent segments, GAP (grade-adjusted pace) and power are strongly correlated with actual pace. In these cases, showing watts doesn't add much value if pace is already shown.However, heart rate does reflect meaningful differences in internal effort between similar paces, and is a crucial metric for runners who want to understand their performance and progression.With modern watches now sending power data automatically, users are being forced to view data they didn't opt into — and in many cases, it's not useful or relevant.Thank you for considering this improvement. It would make the analysis experience much better for many of us.

Is there a way to record 5 mile best efforts? I see 5k and then 10k and then 15k and then 10 mile but no 5 mile and 5 miles is such a common running distance.

Hi everyone. Since Strava has rejiggered their recorder on the app (Android specifically) a week or so ago, I am noticing the on screen display is only updating every mile (i.e. once you push start it'll stay at 0.00 until you hit 1.00, then stay there until 2.00, etc).  This was not the behavior in the old version of the activity recorder which would update every hundreths of a mile. Not sure it matters but this is a bike ride being recorded.  I also noticed if I stop, the resulting activity does display the correct distance.  It's only in the recording mode itself.-Dan

How to report security issues? I tried contacting security@strava.com but got no reply...  

Some race I do are considering like cheat, my segments are not available and my ride to. And I don't take the Kom, a lot of riders do better than me, this is why I really don't understand what happens.Please fixes that, thank you.Have a great day

whenever i walk like 2km on a treadmill or run a short distance it gets recorded but when i walk or run distances longer than 6km it wont show up on my profile despite me recording it. Was wondering if there was anything i could do in my settings to change this or its just a fault with my watch.

While I wish this were true … seems to be an error around percent increases in fitness score; 43/10 * 100 =430 not 614; same issue on other views of time! Just wanted to flag :)🐛🐛
