I use a Garmin 1030 to record my rides and they automatically upload to Strava (IOS app).No power meter used so Watts are calculated by Strava algorithm.since recent SW upgrades (both Garmin and Strava, don’t know which is causing problem) power figures are hugely over-reading. Example freewheeling down a long 8% hill power is shown as 158w if I then use ‘adjust elevation’ feature in app the power drops to 6w and total elevation for ride only changes by 8ft on total of around 880ft.Strava iOS app SW rev is ? How do you read this?phone Sw rev 18.1.1Garmin connect rev 5.8.1.3Problem is consistent now for all rides, power always corrects itself when. ‘Adjust elevation’ is used.Any ideas what’s wrong? - Alan 

Hello,I am comparing training plans and looking at the Strava generated plan.  It provides nice detail on the site for the first few weeks but then it just has durations, not distances.  I can tell for sure that the plan is aimed at faster runners or road runners.  I am working on my training calendar and this tool does not help due to these limitations.  Or maybe I am looking in the wrong place? It would also be good to have plans longer than 12 weeks. Thanks!

When obtaining the access token and refresh token for the first time using the code, the validity period of the access token is 6 hours. Within this validity period, both the access token and refresh token remain unchanged upon repeated requests. After the access token expires, the access token changes but the refresh token remains the same. Once the refresh token expires, the access token can no longer be renewed, and it's necessary to obtain a new access token and refresh token using the code again.The question is: What is the validity period of the refresh token, and when will it change upon request?

Strava does not seem to be able to post Backcountry skiing activities-what can be done to fix this?

I checked if my token is still active, and I tested it on Postman.I regenerated a new token, but it doesn't work either. I don't understand why it stopped working. Does anyone else have trouble with Apple Watch/health app automatically uploading bike rides to Strava? I record my workouts in the fitness app on my watch, which saves workouts to the Activity/Fitness app. This should sync between Strava and Health. The apps are enabled to talk to each other and automatic uploads are enabled as well. All other workouts (ie walk, run) import automatically no problem. With bike rides (“outdoor cycle”), I have to manually hit the import the ride. Pretty annoying!To troubleshoot, I have disconnected the Strava app from Health/Fitness, deleted the app and redownloaded to my phone and watch. Same thing happens though. Any other activity automatically imports to Strava just fine. But with Bike rides, I have to manually go into Strava on my phone and hit "import". Could this be a bug?

HiI tried to subscribe with the android app, but it redirected me to chrome browser which appears to have now created a new strava account (with my subscription) under my gmail address, which is not my longstanding accountI’m trying to refund the subscription (with little success) but I also realise that means I wont be able to get the discount that was offered last week.  what should I do?

It came to my attention recently that Strava has created a blanket restriction on posting any form of hyperlink to their platform without any notification to the users posting the link. Similarly, club pages can no longer have a website associated with them and past links shared have been removed without notice. You cannot even link to Strava’s own ecosystem on a Strava post.I created a support ticket requesting information on this glaring issue and was directed to a community post the cites “harmful spam” despite no evidence of such spam occurring. Attempts to follow-up with these concerns have received no response with Support only closing my tickets without notice.To add insult to injury I’ve noticed that we can no longer copy/paste any text from anywhere in Strava on mobile. Inquiries into the reasoning behind this have been similarly ignored.If user safety is the concern then it seems odd that email notifications still contain links as the sc

Recently changed my running watch and now summary data does not show HR stats. Permissions are correctly enabled. I don't want to see Power I'd like to see HR data back again. Any suggestions. Thanks 

Is there a way to mark a Hike or Walk as a Race, so that time spent taking breaks is included in stats? Last year I completed the Mammutmarsch, which is a 100km walk and something I would consider a “race”.I would like my activity to better represent the actual time it took us to complete it, as well as the km/h and pace and everything else.

Is there anyway to add pets to an exercise!? I’d love to add my dog who trains with me everyday. Even if it was like the gear/shoes! 🐶🙏

I have a Samsung Watch with Strava on it, I am not using my phone when running. First, I had no subscription and only showed avg time/km. Now, I have only current speed/km. But, now I can't measure if I am still on schedule for average during my run. I have bought subscription to see both, but this is not possible? Thank you in advance.

Anyone else having issues with the strava app on the iPhone? I did a run this morning. Struggled to load it via the Garmin watch. I can’t see any fresh feed updates since yesterday. I know friends have done an activity. But I can’t see them. This is the same for when I log on online too. Rather frustrating. I’ve logged out. Logged in. Deleted the app. Re installed the app. And also turned the phone off and on. Still the same. 

Under activities there is no option for ski. Also map types there is no winter map. Any advice?

Strava stopped sync’ing activities from the Suunto app. I know it has been asked a few times before, but I have tried all provided solution, such as deleting and re-installing Strava, disconnecting and reconnecting Strava, but not worked. Also I am sync’ing from Suunto to other apps and that is working, so it’s definitely on the Strava end of things. It also used to work until a couple days ago, when it up and stopped working. Please advise on how to resolve.

Why Strava stoped syncing with Bryton and Suunto? How can I fix it? Reinstalling and reconnecting doesn't help.

Is there any way to set an annual cycling distance target which does not include the virtual kilometres (in my case from Zwift)?  I like to track my outside distance, not the amount of spinning I do in my cellar, but can’t seem to separate the two.  Surely a basic requirement?

I am trying to create a training plan for my next (first!) marathon, that takes place in Copenhagen May 11th.But it seems like I can only create a plan for 12 weeks….!! Does anyone know if that is the only option for a marathon plan? It would be really nice if Strava could provide a plan for a longer period, e.g. 16 or 20 weeks. It seems really odd that everyone should be able to train to a marathon in 12 weeks, regardless your age, fitness level, weight etc.

This is a workout I’ve just done. 1 hour of weights, 10 minute run, 10 minute row, 50 minutes exercise bike. The x-axis is meaningless. It should be time based, not distance based. 

I am building a personal project to consolidate all my location data, and so am building an API consumer to fetch all my activities and their time/latlng streams. I am over-engineering in case friends want to use it (and because it’s fun).It seems I could paginate explicitly with page or date-based with before. I see in the forum history, here, that there was a period when page didn’t work, but that it’s now reliable. Aesthetically, I prefer the date-based “cursor” approach.Is there any guidance on which is preferred and/or future-proof?

I am very lucky and grateful to live in a state with so many mountain bike trails available. I recently started volunteering for a bike oriented group in my state and went to an event they put on here in Michigan. My husband and I helped close the event at the end of the day and just that part involved lots of work. I don't know that many people actually realize how much work goes on before, during and after for sports related events whether they be free or pay for. So many people volunteer their time and energy into creating these events. Also a great deal of time goes into trail maintenance for things like daily use all the way to pay for events. In general this work is completed by volunteers. It seems like it would be worth trying to give these people the opportunity to get recognized for their time volunteering. It's not for bragging, in my opinion, it would be for well deserved recognition and appreciation by those who get to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Hi, I recently learnt from my wife that Strava shows the following pop-up which allows her to quickly edit her latest activity, which is a feature I've been longing for for ages, as I've multiple bikes that I need to update my every single activity to ensure I chose the right one.However, this pop-up is not showing for me. We're both using iOS, though she's using iOS17 while I'm using iOS18. I don't think that matters though. I can't seem to find any setting in Strava for this though, nor find any feature announcement from Strava on this. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks in advance! 

I noticed when an image is uploaded to an activity via the Edit Activity, that it doesn’t trigger an Update webhook event - is this behaviour expected? Could it be enhanced to include it?
