I use a Garmin Forerunner 165 to record and sync activities with Strava (Android). Recently, when I do outoor rowing (crew) activities, it syncs with stats like these:In rowing, these stats are super irrelevant and unhelpful, with workouts measured in meters and splits (/500m) like below:Has anyone faced the same issue? Is there a way to manually highlight / select / force certain statistics to show via Garmin or via Strava? Having my row data in Strava went from super useful to super irrelevant overnight with no fix. Thanks.

I have linked my Mahle powered Ribble gravel e-bike to Strava using the Mahle App but can’t figure out what that actually does.I was expecting it to automatically start and stop the recording of my rides on Strava but obviously not…….or I haven’t set it up correctly.Any help for a new user would be much appreciated.Rod

Hey, i got come from my ride an hour or so ago and my activity has been stuck on “processing activity” since then. I did a small run afterwards to test it and that appeared however my ride is not processing is there a fix for this?thanks in advance!

I have the 51mm version of the Fenix 8 Solar Sapphire and have noticed an odd discrepancy in the device naming convention. Every activity I have seen from someone with the 47mm version of the F8 Solar Sapphire has their device type listed as “Garmin fenix 8 Solar Sapphire” while those with the 51mm of the same watch has their device type listed as “Garmin fenix 8 Solar” without the Sapphire showing in the name (despite it being a sapphire watch face.) Is there a reason for this discrepancy when they are otherwise the same watch? 

I'm experiencing issues with Strava on my Apple Watch. It's unable to satisfactorily record and keep the data of any activities such as running, walking, or riding when using the watch alone—without my phone. It appears to be a GPS issue in the Strava app. Apple did a diagnostic and GPS is functioning okay and I used the NIKE run app and it is recording and saving the data/maps.Ideas?

Trying to log in to Strava using one-time code and keep getting errors. I've tried multiple devices and no luck. Any suggestions for regaining access??

Since 2022, I have been using Coros for swimming, and I have never had any issues with data syncing to Strava. The data has always been accurate, exactly matching the records on my watch. However, over the past few months, the total activity time displayed on Strava has been completely off and inaccurate.Even when I swim for only 60 minutes without any pause time, Strava sometimes records it as 90 minutes. This means that when the data is uploaded, my activity appears to extend into the future. For example, if I start swimming at 6 AM and finish at 7 AM, Strava records my total activity as 90 minutes, making it seem like I finish at 7:30 AM (even when it isn’t even 7:30 yet Hahaha)This issue has only started happening recently. At first, I thought it was an error with my watch, but all the data on my watch appears to be correct. Additionally, my friend, who uses the same watch model, has never experienced this problem. Hello,I have a Fitbig Versa and since the start of the year, none of my activities have been syncing to Strava. Prior to that, everything was syncing as I’d expect, so I’m not sure what happened that it stopped doing it now. I have gone to strava.fitbit.com multiple times and synced the two, all the permissions are allowed, etc. I’m not sure what else could be an issue that wasn’t an issue last year.TYIA!

The Strava app on my Apple Watch Series 10 is not displaying Pace or Distance. Both stay at 0.00 for the duration of the run.  When the run gets synced, I can see the path I took and can see what my splits are, so I know that it’s logging GPS data, but as far as the display on the watch, it’s frozen at zero, so I have no real time info on my pacing or how far I have gone, which is 75% of the purpose.  This doesn’t happen on Outdoor Ride, or Kayak, only when I start a run. I have updated the Strava App on my iPhone, the Apple Watch, uninstalled Strava on both devices and unpaired/re-paired the watch from the phone. None of this has solved the issue.  Does anyone have a potential solution I have not tried? Since it’s only the run activity that is bugged, I assume it’s application bug that may only get fixed in a future update, but I’m hoping I don’t have to find an alternative. Neither Apple Fitness nor Mi Fitness are sending over GPS data to strava when I record activities on those watches, it only works when I use the dedicated Strava app on my Apple watch.  Does anyone know why this is?

I have the latest app version on my iPhone 15 (iOS 18), but the user interface does not feature the latest design. I deleted and re-installed the app a couple of times but the problem remains. This is really annoying. Any comments on this are greatly appreciated.

 I’ve been a paid subscriber for many years and the appom my iPhone 16 promax just started to show only average yesterday. Is there a setting that changed?GPS works fine, but the app just started to say the GPS is intermittent today. Mapmyride works fine (I always have MapMyRide running in the background and have for years because Strava has failed a few times over the years and luckily I had Mapmyride running to save the stats (MMR has NEVER failed me)Is there now some kind of adjustment for the app to show live speed? Hi Strava team,I was reading through the info on developers.strava.com/docs/uploads about how devices are detected from FIT files using the manufacturer and product fields.I'm working on a small project where I compare GPS performance between different devices — for example, two watches worn during the same race — to analyze things like drift and accuracy. I’m generating FIT files from that data, which include the manufacturer and product ID fields as specified in the FIT format.I’d like Strava to show the correct device name when those files are uploaded, if possible.Just wondering: Is there a list somewhere of which manufacturer and product ID pairs in FIT files are recognized by Strava and mapped to device names? Hello,Today, I forgot my Garmin watch and recorded a swim activity with my Apple Watch. I saved it after, and when I got home it was not synced. I forced the sync via the Apple Watch Stava app, but the activity is nowhere to be found. I forced restarted the Apple Watched and the iPhone, nothing. I even downloaded an app called GPX Export as suggested in another thread, but the workout is not there. I am afraid that the activity is gone - my wife had the same experience a week ago. Any thoughts?Thanks!P.S: I recorded a dummy swim activity when I got home, and it showed on the iPhone right away. 

Would it be possible to use the heart rate sensor from an Apple Watch to sync with a ride recorded on the Strava iPhone app? 

Hi have been fitbit/strava user for years, my walks are not syncing into strava (runs and biking are ok) I'm sure its just a box I tick but can't find anything. I've reset connection and logged in and out etc, anybody got any ideas please ? Thanks 

How come there is no widget for showing my bike workouts in a widget on my Samsung phone? Also no darkmode option?

Garmin HRM-dual linked to Strava. connection shows good when recording, double dash showing in HR block, Device shows connected in sensor menu. This had been working fine. Today nothing. new batter and same result. the monitor connected directly to app, not thru bluetooth on phone.

My running, walking even pickleball all sync automatically after I have saved them from the Strava app on my watch. I have tried for the last 5 workouts to record a pilates or HIIT workout, and it appears that it has recorded on the watch, but these workouts never show up on my workout activity log. Today, for instance, I did a pilates workout ending at 7:15am, and a walk at 8am. The walk shows up but not the pilates. 

When I start Strava on my Apple Watch, it always used to stay Always On - which allowed it to be active long enough to collect heart rate data. For the last two days, when I start a ride, within about 10 seconds from starting a ride activity, the watch goes to screen saver and I have to touch the screen to reactivate Strava. Distance is recorded, but heart rate data is not. I have up to date iOS and WatchOS, and Strava app on both iPhone and Watch. I’ve reinstalled the Strava app on my watch. I’ve powered off both multiple times.Appreciate any solution here. Thanks.

I use a new iWatch to capture heart rate data. Notice how there are long periods of time when the data is not being continuously imported. Any suggestions on how to fix?
