hello All, I’m a starting runner and still try to build my conditions. the distances I run are rather on the short side (3-4 km).since this week I started with a kind of interval training. I was alternating 1km runs with 0.5 km walks. my sports watch is logging this as one activity (a running activity). once it is uploaded to strava, I can see it as one activity and immediately got a badge for “longest run”. Since I was not running the full distance, this feels a little bit unfair and ofcourse also not “motivating” to try afterwards to break my “personal longest distance”. so I can break down the activity in run and walk parts. but this leaves me with a lot of activities what let also explode my “activities / week”. (which is also not fair). Are there other possibilities I overlook? anybody any suggestion how he/she is logging interval training (run/walk)many thanks

 Hi everyone,I am working on the integration of our Decathlon Coach with Strava. We are uploading activities via FIT files.We are facing a persistent issue regarding how Strava calculates Moving Time versus Elapsed Time, leading to incorrect stats for our users.The Context: Our users record running activities using our app. Often, these are continuous runs with no pauses (the user never hits the pause button). Consequently, our FIT files contain the trackpoints and the total Elapsed Time, but no specific "Pause" or "Resume" events.The Problem: Upon upload, Strava ignores the duration recorded in the file and attempts to recalculate the Moving Time based on the GPS data. Because of GPS drift or slower sections, Strava’s algorithm interprets parts of the run as "resting time" and removes them.The Result:

This new map is way less informative about the elevation/terrain profile of an area than the previous one. This is bad for route making, segment finding, and ride analysis. Please share this so Strava will do something about it.

Iphone language danish. Written text in Strava app is danish. All good there - I am danish !The text in the Strava app for the artificial voice still seem to be in english. So english words pronounced by a danish speaking artificial voice. Example: "Nine" is a number in english text. When pronounced in english it sounds correct (najn), but "nine" pronounced with a danish speaking voice is "nee-ne". It is neither english nor danish and as such not understandable. So: When IOS is danish, the written text in Strava app is also danish. The artificial voice tries to speak danish, but is clearly served an english string of words to be pronounced with a fat danish accent. Not good !  

I noticed that after the update on November 26, the map display on the mobile app changed. The new map style looks quite cluttered, and the landmark labels appear very large, which makes the map harder to read.Could Strava please consider reverting to the previous map style or reducing the label size? The old version was much clearer and easier to use. 

Currently, I have 12 activities stuck on my Apple watch as unsynced that are not showing up on my Strava. Please help! I have closed the Strava app on both my apple watch and iPhone, restarted both my apple watch and iPhone, and made sure I have wifi and that they are connected to Bluetooth but no luck. I am not sure what else to do.  

I'm absolutely dissatisfied about the recent change from Mapbox (worked well!) to OpenMapTiles (absolutely worthless). Why Strava has changed this? Now, highway junctions are mentioned, as wel as highway ramps. Not a single sporter will be interested in highways. Them maps are showing much more irrelevant information now. It's a pity... is this meant to be?

I noticed that some (not all) user profile pictures from cloudfront.net (DetailedAthlete’s ‘profile’ and ‘profile_medium’ urls) now return an access denied error.Is this a bug or a new privacy feature (that renders the DetailedAthlete profile urls useless)?Many older profile urls from cloudfront.net still work fine...

I have unwanted followers, when i block and remove them from the follower page, they still appear, then when i tried removing again, when i tapped on their profile, it said there was a server error 

Since several weeks the activity feed is empty. I Use Google Chrome on Windows 10. Unnecessary cookies are blocked (obviously). The problem started with the latest bombardment of messages to try to sell me a paid membership. Then I only saw the advertisement, Nowadays I get an empty screen if I click on 'activity feed'. All other submenus work.Logging out and logging in again doesn't help.On my Anroid app the activity geed is shown but I prefer working with a PC.

Our week starts on Sunday, and my monthly running diary, every week starts on Monday and it's hard to understand how many days I'd ran every week and which week... is there a way to change it? In Garmin, as I remember, I can choose the starting day of the week..Thank you!

I sync the Decathlon-app-registrations and Strava. In the beginning, when I had a free Strava subscription the time registered was almost 100% correct. Now the Strava registered is always about 90 % of the real time (which is also registered in the Decathlon-app). I didn't change my running exercices..so no pauzes when I'm running.

I just ran a PR, and it shows the correct distance and time but has chosen not to recognize it as a best effort at all. I ran a half mile at 2:45 and my old pr was 2:49, but its not showing as a best effort or a PR.some1 help (dont judge my times btw im a freshman.  

When rowing on my Concept 2, I notice that the distance recorded in Strava is often less than the distance actually rowed. For example, yesterday I set the distance on my ErgData application to row a 2000m warm-up. When the Concept machine (and the ErgData application) indicate that the row is complete, and stop recording, I continue rowing a few seconds, in case there is a delay in the distance being recorded somewhere. When I then check the Concept machine, ErgData and Garmin, they all show the correct distance of 2000m. But, Strava shows 1999m. This discrepancy increases for longer distances rowed.What is the solution to get Strava to record the correct distance?Thanks.

Depuis 1 mois, lors de mes activités (velo, rando, course à pied) la durée de déplacement de mon activité ne correspond pas au temps réel effectué.Lorsque j'accède aux statistiques de l'activité, ou je sais ne pas mettre arreter , la durée de déplacement et la durée temps écoulé n'est pas du tout la même.Une course à pied d'1h10 sans arrêt, mon temps de déplacement est de 27 minutes.Ou est le problème et comment le résoudre?Merci de vos retours. 

At the top of my following list , I still see how I have favorited. But at the top of followers, I don’t have the few people that have favorited me anymore.I deleted and reinstalled the app. No change. I know they have me as favorite, but I can’t see the list. 

Sorry if this has already been resolved somewhere else. I can’t figure out how to search the knowledge hub. My wife and I share a Strava Premium subscription via the Family Plan. I have access to the Power Skills feature, but no matter what we try, she can’t get it to show up for her.We have: updated the app, removed/reinstalled the app, removed and re-added her to family plan, made sure she has ‘cycling’ set as default activity, confirmed the dat afrom her power sensor is making it into Strava (from Garmin Connect).Any tips? Dear all, I have noticed a recent change in the “Athlete Stats” API: it is returning partial values for distance and elevation (not the same values that are visible on the profile page on Strava, as this API alway did in the past).Also I’m getting decimal values (see below in red). Hi all,I develop a Strava App which aims to show a list of the recent Strava activities and you have the option of merging two or more activities selected from the list.I see it as being very useful, for me of course, as I usually do a morning commute to work, lunch run, evening commute back home - all recorded with my watch. Since I cannot pause my bike activity to start a run, then later resume the bike activity (would be a nice feature btw - to allow multiple paused activities based on type), I want in the evening to be able to merge my 2 commute activities into one.Algorithm I use for merging is plain simple - just aggregate all points from all activities, sorted by date.Everything is in place and working locally, however I have reached a dead lock:my initial plan was to download original activities (as GPX) and delete the activities-to-be merged; however this is not possible as there’s no way of deleting an activity via the Strava API; th

I noticed that someone recently asked that the minimum length of mountain bike Segments be decreased and the post was quickly archived by an admin on the basis that reverting Strava changes could not be discussed.I have some sympathy for the poster - I was also somewhat frustrated by the recent increase in minimum length of bike Segments from 300m to 500m.  In my area there has been some good competition over Segments about 400 to 450m in length but such Segments can no longer be created or edited (the change happened as I was working on a new Segment of about 450m - it now finishes closer to a T junction than I would like but editing is no longer possible).I don't remember seeing any requests from Strava users for such a change in the previous Strava Support forums so I wonder if someone at Strava could give some background to their reasons for making the change and their methodologies for determining minimum Segment lengths for each Activity type ?  Clearly

Why can’t the activity type indoor cycling not be chosen on the iOS app? On the Apple Watch this is indeed possible.

I’ve just bought a Subscription via the App on my Apple. It runs for a year. All my family have just started running so I want to upgrade to a Family Plan so we can enjoy the journey together. But, having read you can’t upgrade, I need to cancel my new account and wait a year for it to expire, then sign up to a Family Account? Seems daft… Can I cancel, then use my same account details to sign up a new Family Plan, without loosing my runs so far?

New premium user here.Been enjoying the maps feature to discover new routes in my area. Its all been working great.But suddenly when using a route to follow I have a problem where the map just stays in a zoomed out state, re-center doesnt work either.So I press start and it doesn't zoom in and track me along the route so I can see when I need to turn etc. It just stays zoomed out showing the whole routeBut If I come out a screen and go back in its does zoom in but doesn't track me or re-center my position. It just stays on the point on the map I initially zoomed into...So now I have to manually move the map along the route myself so I can see where I'm going and need to go next. it does follow my position along the route fineIf I just press record without a route it does go into the zoomed in view that tracks me and keeps my position in the center.This all used to work fine. Just want to ask the group if you are experiencing the same thing as me. My Strava keeps on closing/crashing when offline but works fine when I have Internet. Does anyone have a similar experience or is it just me? Thank you!

Hi, I started noticing in the recommended "Who to Follow" section the title, "Fan favorite on Strava" below a person's name. When did this start and honestly, can I hide this concept? My issue is that it feels like Strava is rewarding the person who follows few people and has a lot of followers. Like someone who follows 30 people but has 3000 followers. Also, some "fan favorites" haven't posted in over a year; so they are "ghosts" who had a lot of followers. Anyway, the whole "Who to Follow" isn't something I care to see but mainly due to this "reward the cool kids" concept. Thanks for reading and any help.
