Strava Features Chat

There appears to be a bug in Strava. I am currently showing twice on three separate all time  segment leaderboards. One example shown below. I have the CR from 2022, rode the segment again last week and I now show 3rd as well. The CR has also disappeared from my KOM list, with it now showing me in 3rd. A rider should never appear twice in the leaderboard, only your best effort. I have tried refreshing the segment results with no success. Any ideas and has anyone else had the same problem?  

I requested my archives 2 days ago, I didn't get them.Last week I requested my archives but some runs weren't there and when I tried to upload to Coros, it failed multiple times.

Hi all, Apologies if this was answered before (if it was, I couldn’t find it...) Scenario: I record with Strava, and sync to Samsung Health. While in Strava the heart rate data is reflected properly (HR track, avg and max), in Samsung Health I get the HR track, but avg and max are zero. Is it Strava API issue, or Samsung’s? Thanks,Alex

Hello,I have a garmin 830 paired with a Pioneer dual power meter. I have noticed there is a discrepancy in power data on garmin connect and strava. My strava gives me a much lower power average. I have not changed any data on my bike or profile. Do I need to subscribe to premium to get true power readings?

When I click the “Laps” tab for activities at present, I get interminable wait with no results at all being displayed. This is for runs that I know have many laps.

Hi,  Since a week I’m using a Garmin Fenix 7x for tracking my runs: it is connected to my Strava so runs will immediately upload to my strata profile and feed: awesome, but:In my run-details I can see everything except; Hart rate info + Zone info. Although on my watch I can have a full insight, this information is not sync to the run after uploaded.What do i miss? I tried all different steps to fix this:Visibility of hartrate is enabled (In privacy settings) Q&A of other help info site’s as said, strava is connected to GarminConnectPlease help :) Thanks! 

Where can I ask if Strava can create a Racewalk category for activities? Race Walking has been an Olympic event since 1904 and while the numbers aren't huge, I think there might be enough of us to warrant a category. New York area has about 700 hard core Race Walkers that race but there are 34,000 that say they use Race Walking for fitness.  We often use "run" but then we look like slow runners if we post. And some of us use "walk" for a more casual walk. Sorry if this is not the right place to ask, please direct me.Thank you.

Something changed in the heatmap a few days ago where it barely shows anything besides the most used paths and roads. Not a good change. Heatmap used to show very rare trails but now whole areas are filled with nothing. I\m guessing something went wrong and this wasn’t intended to work like this.

Strava recently increased their minimum segment length to 500 meters, from the 300 meter mark where it's been for several  years.As the person maintaining the library of Strava segments for Zwift, I find this new requirement to be overly restrictive. 300 meters was already too long, in fact. 500 meters is just silly.Most Zwift sprints are too short to be made into Strava segments, and certain sections of the Alpe du Zwift climb are also too short.I understand that Strava engineers are concerned with the inconsistent recording of GPS coordinates on various devices, but this isn't an issue on virtual platforms where coordinates are consistently written to your fit file data. Hello,I like to manually hit the lap button on my Garmin Edge while riding my bike in order to get information about the section of a course I am on.I know that the information about when I hit the lap button is actually synced to Strava, as I am able to display the laps on the website. But in the android app there is no way.I would find helpful to have this whole feature ported to the android app. Especially displaying where on the map the lap has been, and having a list of laps with generic information.Thanks for considering.

It seems that a recent iOS update has broken the way routes are shown on iOS. Here’s an example route:https://www.strava.com/routes/3289692473352562718 In the web route editor, the route displays like I would expect it to. On iOS, however, the same portion looks like this:  It seems like the iOS route viewer is only showing a fraction of the vertices required to actually draw the route so that it follows roads. Previously, on iOS, when scrolling through the activity feed, if I wanted to see a picture full screen I just tapped on the picture and that was it.Now all of the sudden when I do this, I have to wait for the activity details to load, the picture opens on the top of the screen, the activity details get shown below the picture and I have to tap again on the picture to see it fullscreen?Why is that?I don’t want to wait for the activity details to load, since I don’t care about them, I just want to see the picture in full screen. On top of that I have to tap, wait, and tap again to look at that picture, while before it was a single tap and a lot faster. 

I noticed something strange last week where my PR on a Segment didn’t appear properly on a Leaderboard (an inferior time was there instead).  I didn’t take a lot of notice, but today I see something similar on another Segment.  There is a Segment near where I live that I have attempted many times (over 100).  A couple of days ago I noticed that my PR was 1:01 and I was 47th out of 2358.  Today I looked and it still says my PR is 1:01 but the performance used in the Leaderboard is 1:09, for 199th.  I’m not aware of anything I might have done to cause this change.  I can only assume that something must have happened to the Activity (from 2020) where I did the 1:01, such as it now being flagged as “Private” or falling within the visibility exclusion zones at the start or end of the ride - I checked both these and the 1:01 Activity can be seen by “Everyone” and there is no visibility exclusion zone.  Is something else happening that is causing this apparent corruption on the Leaderboard

We're actively working on solving this gap in user experience and weighing this feedback into consideration as we work on an update. We appreciate your time and patience. a recent feature seems to have filtered heatmaps based on the sport type when routing. i suspect that this is broadly a great feature, but it has now made gravel routing very difficult because of the data sparsity (a large % of people don't select "gravel ride" on their activities, most rides aren't gravel anyways, etc.). plus there's so much overlap in gravel and road routes anyways, so aggregating that data makes sense imo. the road heatmaps work great here, but the only way to get them to show up is to change the sport type to road cycling, which affects the routing. Beacon stopped working with my Samsung Ultra watch about six months ago, and my buddy has the same issue with his Apple Ultra watch. Both beacons stopped working pretty much at the same time.  Beacon only works if the phone is currently connected to the watch, and stops sending as soon as you’re out of range of the phone. Both watches are LTE. I opened a ticket as well, 3265802. Strava has ignored me completely. The only response I’ve gotten was asking if I still needed assistance! I’ve tried uninstalling the app on both phone and watch and then re-installing. I’ve tried deleting contacts and re-adding them. I’ve turned beacon on and off. Nothing helps. I am a paid subscriber, as I realize Beacon requires this. What especially irritates me is Strava support just ignoring me for almost a month now.

Are you able to upload a day’s skiing activity recorded on Slopes to Strava?

Hello, everytine that I try to connect Facebook to Strava, it opens a new window - redirects me to the FB app and then I have to sign in with my Facebook details, after that, it sends a code to my email, and after insertig that code, it requires me to change my current password. Why is that? I don’t think this is necessary or safe at all. Thank you in advance for support. 

Load a route in the route planner on the website (or app). Duplicate the route, reverse the route direction, and save. Typically this means changing from clockwise to counterclockwise or visa versa. That would be a lot easier than building a new route manually.Or load a route, reverse it, and save it. 

hello, is there a way to display the calories per week ?

I am using a Suunto watch to record activities. The data is analyzed in Suunto App which uses training metrics powered by Training Peaks, which is an established leader in this area. The same data is uploaded to Strava that provides its own training metrics. In both cases I can see Fitness / Fatigue / Form metrics that, as I understand, are supposed to be based on the roughy the same formulas. However the metrics look quite a bit different. Let’s do a comparison.Here is the Training Peaks data from Suunto app for the last 8 weeks. You can see that the Fitness metric has been going mostly up from 43 on 1/6/25 to 56 on 3/2/25 - 30% increase. That seems reasonable to me as I’ve been ramping up the volume. The intensity remained roughly the same because I train for ultra distances. Note how smooth the fitness graph is overall, which is reasonable because the fitness level doesn’t really change that fast. Also note the clean

Is there a way to turn off segments and kom/qom when doing walks? I think it’s ridiculous to track speed when just walking.

I have a premium subscription and would like to download and use maps and routes offline. Can this be done?I’ve “downloaded” some routes, and the appropriate icon turns red. However, I cannot access them offline - when I try to press them nothing happens. I can’t find any option to download a map offline (the way fatmap used to have). Am I missing something?
