Strava Features Chat

I have been unable to upload photos from my iPhone to my Strava activities for the last two weeks. No change in size of photos or what I’m doing. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I just discovered that Strava apparently does not provide heart rate analysis for some activities (ie Walking, Hiking). I got a sweet new Garmin Epix Gen 2 and went for a hike only to see only a barebones heart data graph in my Strava app and the web page. There is no deeper analysis like HR zones or even HR max or avg. Is there a chart somewhere that shows what kind of analysis is available for each activity type?While walking and hiking activities might not be as intense cardio activities as mountain biking or running, when you walk or hike up mountains and hills, your HR can get up there!

With the latest Android update, I am unable to see the map behind my activity track when I tap on any particular activity.The map is visible in the list of activities, but disappears when I select an activity, leaving the track floating on a white background. It's happening with two different devices.Is this intentional?

I’m using the Strava app using Firefox on a Windows laptop.I have created a numder of different stages on different activities.I’m getting this message on seperate activities, couldn’t find any more issues or duplicates i.e. Titles are not duplcates.

It appears with the new heatmap update(?) that the feature of being able to see a personal heatmap overlay when looking at the ride/run of someone else has been removed. Perhaps I'm mistaken? If this is no longer available it is a big loss! I hope it will be restored!Being able to see where someone has been and where I've been nearby is a great feature. I hope it hasn't been lost for long!Thank you!

Is there a way to disable “suggested rides”? I have enough clutter on strava without it making suggestions on local rides that i already do/know.  Its almost offensive suggesting we don’t know our local rides loops/trails.  

Hi. Alpine Ski doesn’t either show in activity calendar or count into club statistiscs. I would definitely like that to count into the stats. It does just not make sense that it’s not inkluded there. Ofc only the active time. Is there any plan to add the statistics into Strava clubs and own activity calendar?

I just got flagged on a 6 mile ride that I've done 74 times with consistent results.  The flag does not give any indication of what the actual issue is. It says crop the ride, change the activity, etc. The flag is wrong but there is no way to remove it. Is there a better app than Strava?

Since the strava has athlete intelligence launched, which AI based insights or analysis I can do for my own application?What things will be allowed in this case?Will a summariser for months data and analysis of months data be okay? since strava only provides athlete intelligence considering one single activity.

Since the past two days, I haven't been able to see the heatmap. The button is missing in the Android app. I've tried it on different devices and have also reinstalled the app. There is just the possibility to select Point of Interest.I have a premium membership. 

Hi All,Is it just me, or can we not create segmenst for MyWhoosh Rides? I know it will be a private segment, but at the moment I cant even do that. When I want to save the segment, I just get a screen that says Strava is offline. I’ve been trying for hours, without luck.TIA

Does anyone know if that feature is just gone? I really liked seeing my personal heatmap when I opened up the map from a new activity, or seeing it when I opened up the map for someone else’s. I just don’t have any option to add that layer now, does anyone know how to restore it?

Hi, I've upgrade to the family plan and invited 3 people to join. We all live in The Netherlands, however 2 people get the error message that they don't live in the same country as me. We all live in the same city in the same country, so we should be able to join in the family plan. Please help out.

Saved Routes not showing. I’ve just imported a GPX file for a route i’ll be riding tomorrow on my Mac. I can see the route map in the google browse, but when i open Stava on my iphone, all my own routes are missing; not loading. iOS 18.1.1. I’ve also tried it on my work iphone, but same problem. I’ve read on this community, that others are experiencing similar problems. I’ve logged out, closed the app, logged in again, same problem. I’ve also shut both phone down, restarted them, logged into the strava app again, but still not routes.I need this to work, it’s the reason i’m paying to use the app.

If you click on the "Challenges" tab in the top of web-based Strava you get a nice overview of all the available changes and it shows which ones you joined. Unfortunately, as far as I can see, on this page it is not visible on this page:- Which challenges you already completed- What the progress is on your challenges, e.g. 8km out of 100km targetAdding this helps in targeting a specific challenge to complete and prevents that you have to click through on each challenge to see its details.

Today I went on my first bike ride since December and when I ended/saved my activity I noticed that for some reason Strava hid my start and end location. Why? Is this a bug? Anyway I went into my privacy settings and the start/end hide, which I had set to off, was changed! Now I have a hidden start and end that I want to unhide so that my followers can see them.  How can I unhide them? I can’t find any obvious way to do this in the app. Do I have to use the website?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.I wish programmers would be more considerate and not mess with personal settings, or log you out of an app when it upgrades, or time out your log in (well except for sensitive apps like banking), etc. I haven’t had any log out problems with Strava but this setting changing by itself was annoying.

Is there any way to plan training on Strava? I signed up for a half marathon running training plan, but I can't see upcoming activities to do in my calendar. Is there this functionality in the app?

Hello, can someone please explain why my last gravel ride was not counted to my monthly goal? Under the main current km number 59km are missing (117km is showing), but this overall distance is actually display correctly below (176,2km) in smaller letters… Thanks! 

Hello,my garmin automatically starts an activity when I go out to run some errands. It is generally activities that are less than 15 min. And  then the activity appears on my strava feed. Is there a feature to automatically exclude all activities that are less than certain amount of time?

Every ride shows “Type of Ride” as “Commute” by default.  How do I turn that off? None of my rides are “Commute”

Would it be possible to introduce a time filter to heatmaps so that trails that fall out of favour fade out?I live in an area surrounded by forests and use the heatmap facility extensively to find new routes to run / cycle off the main fire trails. However, due to forestry work over recent months and years and the inaccessibility of some routes due to tree growth, this has become an increasingly unreliable way to plan a run - routes that were popular can now no-longer be navigated.I would propose at least a 12-month rolling filter (a bit like the rolling 90-days for local legend) to ensure that all seasons are captured.

I earned a Trophy yesterday. That Trophy shows in my cabinet on my profile. But didn’t / doesn’t show against the activity where I earned it - as it always usually does. I wondered if it was a blip in the system….. Today I’ve completed the ‘February Walk 50k’ Challenge. And infact earned another Trophy today. Again they are  showing in my Cabinet / Trophies earned. But didn’t ever / doesn’t show against todays activity that earned it and took me over the 50k. Ive looked through all my settings (App and full web version). And even un-joined and re-joined both Challenges. I got re-notified I’d completed both these challenges. But it didn’t change the Trophies not showing against todays ac

I just signed up for the premium plan. I do indoor cycling which I do on and off throughout the day, 10 minutes here, 25 there, etc. Is there a way at a glance to see my total time for the day? Thanks!

I note the new "quick upload" feature on Android app.I'd like the option for it always to default to "advanced edit" as I always add additional information not available in the "quick upload." Thanks
