Help Creating a New Route

Hi! I've been trying to create a route through a paved greenway trail and whenever I try to draw my route, Strava doesn't recognize it as a valid way - even though the global heat map is dark blue and when I ran on it the other day Strava recognized it as a trail. I'm trying to create a long run because it connects to a trail system and it won't let me, I can't even figure out how much mileage it would add! Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?

Make free trial available without credit card details

This always bugs me. I am offered a free trial but to be allowed to try the free offering, I need to put in bank details. I know why this is done, so that after the trial period runs out then a charge is made. I think it would be much better and friendlier of Strava to just let individuals try out the free trial without the need for bank / card details.

Take out file from club

Hi,I want to extract a list of all the activities that the club members have done in the last month. Is there any way to do this? When I check "recent activities" I only see the activities of the last 5 days.If I look in my own feed at everyone I follow, I see since the 18th of October, but we started on the 10th. There are 70 members and going through all 70 members and doing it manually will take a long time..

Something's wrong with snowboard activities

Hi everybody,I think there's a mistake with "snowboard" activities. If you record an activity of this type, the only segments in the report page are climbs. If you want to see slopes' times (so, time for descents) you have to change your activity in "alpine skiing" (or similar name, in italian is "Sci alpino").

bug: segment "My Results" labelled incorrectly

Strava, segments taken within 1-minute of each other are labelled incorrectly with the same label number instead of being unique. I did this segment below 10 times, and instead of being numbered 1 to 10 they are numbered 1,1,3,4,5,6,6,8,9,10 which makes little sense:

Segment creation

My segment creation screen only displays for a fraction of a second making it impossible to click “next”. Why ? im a paying subscriber and this happens on both my laptop and desktop . thanks in advance

missing activity id from 'get_logged_in_athlete_activities'

When I use the python API to get the activities from the logged in user, I want to display the heart rate as well, which i don't get in the summary and thats already annoying.So I need to make a separate call to the activity/{id}. But now I find out that i don't get the ID in the summary either. I've tried to upload_id but thats not working either. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Segment efforts recorded, but missing from leaderboards ....

Just wondering if this is a known bug ...   (hi, I'm a subscriber, btw, have been for many years. hello)So, there are (running) segments I complete on a very regular basis. For some of these segments, I get segment efforts recorded on my activity, but when I view the leaderboards for the segment, I'm not there at all - in fact the leaderboard says at the bottom (on mobile) "Tackle this segment to compete for the crown" as if I've never completed it at all.Many segments I complete, even on the same activity are just fine, my effort is recorded, and I'm on the leaderboard (somewhere near the bottom usually).Here's an example ... an activity from today, where I got a PR on a segment, but when I look at the leaderboard, I'm not there. There isn't even a "today" leaderboard.     Covering the basics - yes, the activity privacy setting is for Visible to "Everyone", and yes, I've tried using the "refresh segment efforts" link against the segment - it hasn't h

Access-Control-Expose-Headers

I would like to show to my users that they are using the Strava API with limit (100 request per 15 minutes, etc.)The Strava API has HTTP response header for that : X-Ratelimit-Usage and X-Ratelimit-Limit I would like to use them in the HTTP javascript fetch API. But I need the CORS Setting for that: Access-Control-Expose-Headers Thanks if you can add it. 😊

Api v3 Auth Error

Don't receive heart rate data from activities API

Hi there!I'm retrieving my latest run with the following endpoint: /athlete/activities and then the method "getLoggedInAthleteActivities". This works well, but I don't get the same response as the sample response given there. I don't get anything back from my heart rate information. Is this a permissions thing or am I missing something?

Help me understand Training Impulse for Swimming Activities in Fitness & Freshness

I track two types of exercise in Strava, Cycling and Swimming.On the bike, I simultaneously use a power meter and a Polar H10 heart rate monitor.  My understanding is that Strava uses these two inputs to "calibrate" a Training Impulse estimate based on Relative Effort so that can be used for the times when I ride without a power meter or do something other than cycling.My Fitness and Freshness page is set up to use both, "Power and Relative Effort."When I bike, my power-based Training Load (which gets used directly for Training Impulse) is always about 0.7x Relative Effort.When I swim, I wear a heart rate monitor and Strava calculates a Relative Effort.  I expected Training Impulse to be about 0.7x Relative effort for the swims, because that's what it is when I bike with power meter and heart rate monitor.  TSS is always smaller than RE on the bike.  But I see the opposite result.  From swimming, the "Training Impulse" is always about 1.3xRE.When I bike, TI<

Issue with displaying splits and calories for TCX file uploads

Hello,I've encountered an issue when uploading TCX files through code, where the splits view and calorie data aren't displayed on the website, despite these details showing up correctly when I upload the same file manually through the website.Here's what I've done:Initial upload via code: When I upload a TCX file programmatically (using code), the activity appears on Strava, but without splits or calorie information.Manual upload for comparison: To ensure the issue wasn't with the file itself, I uploaded the same TCX file manually through the Strava website. Interestingly, this time, both splits and calories were visible.Verification process: I took an extra step to download the activity file that I uploaded through the website (whiich showed splits and calories) and compared it with the original file I was trying to upload via code. TCX comparison vs Stream/Lap data from api

HI,I'm currently looking into using the strava api to export my activities to Gpx/Tcx (or any other format that suits my needs) because Garmin doesn't offer such a service / api. When looking into the data and comparing an activity from Garmin, exported in TCX format, with the data I can collect using the streams/laps api I noticed a few things?1. The start/endindex of the first lap sometimes seem to be 0? Why can this happend and how should I deal with this? Since the lenght of the lap corresponds with the length found in Strava/Garmin ui.2. The endIndex of the last lap doesn't correspond with the last index in the stream data? F.i. 1980 for the size in the stream. 1956 in the lap data?Can someone explain to me why this could happen? And how to work with it?

Rate Limit Exceeded but not really

Hello,I'm trying to load data from a segment `/api/v3/segments/[id]` that gives me a "Rate Limit Exceeded" error.However, the quota does not seems to be reached: I log the usage and I get something like: Instant usage: 75/600 - Daily usage: 4392/6000.I dig into the logs and it seems that it stopped working at half the quota, 3000/6000.Is there any other limitation I'm not aware of?

See if gear is default for sport via API

Has gear-related data that is retrievable by APIs been updated since the default gear by sport update (https://stories.strava.com/articles/set-default-gear-by-sport)?I was expecting that the data returned by getActivityById would have gear > primary set to True if the gear used is the primary gear for the activity's sport type (or at least, if that gear was primary for that sport at the time of creation of the activity). However, I'm seeing primary still set to False in that case, so I'm wondering if that field refers to a now defunct global default setting for gear. How can I retrieve whether gear is primary for a sport type with by API?

Return detailed representation for multiple activity ids

I would like a faster method of querying a detailed representation for a list of Strava activities. I can make a single query via:/activities/{id}However, I have 1000 activities and need to make a seperate call for each acitivity id. And this takes too long.It would be nice to be able to query on a list of activity ids. Is this possible?Side note: The same question was stated nicely on another forum. Be Private but still compete for segments

Hello. Wondering if it has ever been suggested to make a way to have your activities be non-public, yet still be able to be part of the leaderboards? A lot of the fun of Strava is segments. I hesitate to not make my activities public because I like being part of the segment leaderboards. I feel like I have to choose between safety and fun (and one of the biggest draws to the app). My suggestion would be to give an option to have your activities private but still participate in segment leaderboards, etc. Anyone else agree?
