I ran my first marathon on January 12.  I recorded the run using the Apple Workouts app on my Apple Watch.  The races I ran on January 9 (5K), 10 (10K), and 11 (half marathon) all imported as normal, but the marathon will not import, no matter what I do.I’ve logged out/logged back in, deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone several times, and even recorded a new workout and imported it successfully, but nothing I do can get the marathon run to import.I always manually import my workouts from Apple Health.  I go to the list of recent activities, find the one I want, tap import, wait for it to stop spinning and change to a checkmark, and then go refresh my activity feed to see the new workout, but my marathon changes to a checkmark and never appears in my feed.I’ve seen posts from other people having this same issue and I don’t understand why it hasn’t been fixed yet.

With Garmin and other watches, there are ‘track run’ modes that calculate the distance of an activity based on the number of laps of an athletics track, rather than directly from the GNSS trace. This results with an activity distance that precisely relates to the distance of the effort. However, when that activity is uploaded to Strava, I’ve found that Strava’s own distance-calculating algorithms are applied and the distance comes up short (eg: 5000 m track run came out as 4999 m) This is problematic as the ‘true’ distance is likely to be a ‘best effort’ distance, so losing any amount may result in a new best effort performance being overlooked (fortunately not the case in my example).My suggestion: if the uploaded activity is a track run, do not apply smoothing distance algorithms and retain the original distance value.

When you select a specific sport for your heatmap on the maps tab, that carries over to an activity of another sport despite what the label says. The map tab is acting as a master switch. I had my map set to walk activities only: Then opened an athlete's ride which still shows my walking activities while claiming ride:For comparison this is some of my ride heatmap in the area:If a user wants to change which activities' heats are displayed, they have to back all the way out to the main map to change it. It would be ideal if loading activities automatically selected the appropriate heatmap type and I assume this behavior is unintentional. 

I would like a feature that allows me to propose a ride to everyone or a small group to do together with some basic information such as: planned route, meeting place, time, maximum number of participants, level. Users who live or are in the area of the planned meeting point should receive a notification and be able to propose themselves to join the tour. The organiser should be notified of participants, and the possibility to register should stop when the maximum number of participants is reached.The organiser should be informed about the participants.

When I try to invite participants, I only see the option to invite my followers — there is no visible option to copy or share a link.I’d like to share this challenge more broadly within my organization, but I can’t find a way to get a public or sharable link.What would you suggest? Thanks in advance for your help!

My shiny new iPhone 13 mini has apparent issues with jagged GPS tracks, consistently adding some 2-5% to the total route length. For an illustration, check out the two runs of mine: the first from August recorded with iPhone 8, and the second from October with 13 mini: https://www.strava.com/activities/7584918073 https://www.strava.com/activities/8025639130 The two tracks are supposed to be identical, and the physical difference should not exceed 20 m. Yet, the first shows up as 5.10 km, and the second as 5.31 km (therefore, making me appear faster than I am 😉 😉). If you zoom in, you can notice the recording **bleep**-zagging, while the track is of course perfectly smooth. While this is probably not a Strava issue, does anyone have an idea how I can possibly fix this? As a feature request idea, Strava could probably implement some route smoothing by default for estimating distances. Hi helpful people, Last weekend I had some lovely outside ride with some of my friends for 85km. After the ride was Strava telling me that I made some big progression, which was not correctly. I found out that the calibration of my powermeter went wrong, because of the wrong calibration there are some unreal stats in my account (and in my Garmin account, Intervals ICU etc.).I tried to find the solutions on the internet or here in the community but did not found it, yet. Is there a possibility to delete the stats out of this weekend ride? And if so, how can I arrange that? I hope that someone can help me out, I love to follow my progression which is unpossible with this unreal stats in my account. Looking forward to your reaction and thanks for helping me out. Greets Benno

My activity data is not entered into the Starava application, while it is recorded in my watch application. Please help. 

I am a wheelchair user, but can run using a running frame. Strava does not give Framerunning as an activity to choose from, even though there are more and more people practicing this sport. Today all of a sudden Strava is telling me there is a problem with my activity and I have too choose another sport. I could choose cycling, the frame has wheels, however the frame allows me to run. And there are still runners that run faster than I do. I don’t want to get this error with each activity.,,, how do I resolve this when Strava doesn’t want to recognize the actual sport I practice?

My Pixel Watch 2 has auto paused a ride and then failed to resume when moving twice in the last week. Never had this issue before now

Did a 11 min eliptical today but only got credit for the last minute and change because of moving time. Of course my gps didn’t change, it’s an eliptical 

I like using the mobile app to track my training and actual performance, but would prefer not to have the new performance predictions showing up as they are orthogonal to what I would like to use Strava for. Where in the app can I opt to hide or remove these predictions? I gather from this site that one way is to stop subscribing, but was wondering if there was another way?

When I'm uploading an activity using a GPX file, I would very much like to set the sport type correctly. Otherwise it seems like a convoluted method just to update that type. For some reason the activity just ends up being a run. Any thoughts?

Hi there,This is my first post here. I just realised that Rouwy users are now able to be ranked in KOM leaderboards.And, well… My hometown is home of two cobble sectors of Paris-Roubaix (four and five-stars respectively). I was a bit surprised to see that some “random” user of Rouwy was claiming KOM on the combined segment of the hardest of them two and the next cobble sector over Tadej Pogacar 🙃. And the same user was quite high in the classification on the four-star one. Power outputs (for the ones available) being quite far the ones from the first pros.I mean, yes, Rouwy *might* be accurate on asphalt, but on cobbles, I highly doubt it.I fear that this might alter the sincerity of the KOM leaderboards.Cheers ! 

There appears to be a bug in Strava. I am currently showing twice on three separate all time  segment leaderboards. One example shown below. I have the CR from 2022, rode the segment again last week and I now show 3rd as well. The CR has also disappeared from my KOM list, with it now showing me in 3rd. A rider should never appear twice in the leaderboard, only your best effort. I have tried refreshing the segment results with no success. Any ideas and has anyone else had the same problem?  

I recently completed the Manchester marathon. I track every run I do with Apple Watch using the Apple fitness. Then sync and import every run over to my Strava. I completed the marathon and for the first time ever, it has not imported. It says my run is ready to import. I click to import, it comes up with a tick, but does not show up on my activity feed. I have tried every troubleshooting resolution I can find and nothing works. From reconnecting my watch and health to resetting Strava, my watch and my phone. I really hope someone can help me.

Hello. I changed my phone about 3 weeks back and ever since my strava on the galaxy 4 watch stops recording activities. It was working very well on the previous phone but started as soon as I changed phones. The phone and watch are properly synced. I deleted and re-installed the app on the watch but the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated
