Strava widget for iPhone not working

Hello, so I’m using an iPhone 14 Plus with the most recent iOS version, I tried the Strava widget but it does not update, does not show any activity, I already uninstalled and rebooted my phone but nothing… how do I fix it?

Strava mondial heat map : home-work routes missing for electric bike (and other?)

HelloFor the personnal heat map, we have the option to click and show home-work routes. But it’s not possible for the global mondial heat map. Exemple for Belgium, there is a large area whitout any electric bike… but in my case i use it only for “home-work routes”, not for leisure i mean. And so my moves are not visible on the global map as you can see the picture below.Is it possible to have also in the settings of the global world map the possibility to add these home-work routes and have really all the moves of Strava?Thank you

Switching to Custom HR Zones Halves RE

Hi,I wanted to adjust the HR zones from the default to the Karvonen ones, as they seem more realistic for me. On doing this i discovered that even though this change boosted time in zone 4 (less zone 3) for near identical rides, it halved the RE (relative effort).On inspection just the act of switching the HR zones to custom, but setting the zone boundaries to those calculated by the 'auto' feature had the same effect. (Forcing a recalculation by switching ride type and back)I want to carry on getting the consistent RE so I can look at the historical 'fitness' (aka training load) data, so I shall carry on with the Auto zones. To me this can only be a bug, unless there is something I am missing?

Remove "walks" from running challenges and expand challenges for walks

Walks have been added to running challenges as of January 2024 and as a person who does both run and walk acitvities as separate sports, this has ruined the experience of challenges in the app for me, and in general.My walks are no counting towards running challenges which rightly used to be separate. They are separate sports.I found an idea here from last year where somebody requested the opposite and now it has been implemented. From their point of view, they were lesser abled and some walks "felt" like runs to them, which i acknowledge - however, the solution there is ti simply record a running workout on your device, not a walk.To improve the experience for walkers then more 5k, 10k and monthly mileage challenges can be set up to keep it interesting. Last year I really enjoyed tracking my walking challenge and sepaately doing the running challenges. Now there are fewer challenges in total which seems like the app is getting worse, not better.Also importantly need to point

Error. Cant "finish" or close my strava activity

I went hiking the day before my flight and forgot to finish the activity session. Consequently, strava recorded the 12,000 km flight as part of the activity.My issue is that now, whenever I go to that activity to close it, strava crashes. This means that I cannot record new sessions. 😞 Any ideas on how I can solve this?

Progress isnt updating

Hello, I’m having an issue with the progress chart, it doesn’t update on the chart when I finish my run and upload it. I’ve tried to restart my phone ,log out and log back in, installed the las test version and try everything again, but none of them solve the issue.Could someone help me to fix this issue please

Inconsistencies in "My Year in Sport" Numbers

Hi everyone,I’ve been enjoying the "My Year in Sport" feature and taking a closer look at the data it shows for 2024, but I’ve noticed some inconsistencies that are rather confusing, and I’m wondering if anyone else has come across this?For example, in my summary, the total distance for "Ride" is listed as 3,880 km, and for "E-Bike Ride," it’s 1,005 km. However, when I check my Training Log and YTD data, the numbers are 3,885.8 km for "Ride" and 1,005.9 km for "E-Bike Ride." Even when I include the small distance from a few "Velomobile Ride" activities, the total still doesn’t seem to add up to the figure shown in the summary.It gets even more baffling when looking at the overall total distance for all activities in 2024. My Training Calendar summary says 5,741.3 km, "My Year in Sport" says 5,753 km, and the Training Log for All Sports shows 5,728.8 km.What’s odd is that at least for running, everything seems to match up perfectly. So, where’s the trick when it comes to cycling?I’ve at

Help! Progress not logging activities while Activity is logged on profile

Hi! Requesting urgent help in checking why my activities are logged on my profile and showing up on my profile’s weekly data. But my activities are not showing up on my overall progress. I have tried manually creating a new activity but the data created was still not logging it to my overall progress. Attaching here a photo of my Progress and of my weekly mileage. 13kms have not been logged which are two run activities. I have restarted my phone, deleted and redownloaded the strava app, updated the strava app to the latest version and disconnected/reconnected my garmin forerunner 55. Still facing the issue even after attempting these trouble-shooting measures.Please advise on how I may fix this as soon as possible, thank you!

Users Deserve Better

It came to my attention recently that Strava has created a blanket restriction on posting any form of hyperlink to their platform without any notification to the users posting the link. Similarly, club pages can no longer have a website associated with them and past links shared have been removed without notice. You cannot even link to Strava’s own ecosystem on a Strava post.I created a support ticket requesting information on this glaring issue and was directed to a community post the cites “harmful spam” despite no evidence of such spam occurring. Attempts to follow-up with these concerns have received no response with Support only closing my tickets without notice.To add insult to injury I’ve noticed that we can no longer copy/paste any text from anywhere in Strava on mobile. Inquiries into the reasoning behind this have been similarly ignored.If user safety is the concern then it seems odd that email notifications still contain links as the scrubbing occurs at a step after the post

Audio Cues (Distance) for Galaxy Watch Ultra

I received a Galaxy Watch Ultra for the holidays and was very excited to be able to leave my phone at home for my runs.  I used MapMyRun which didn’t have a watch app, so i finally made the switch over to Strava in the hopes of finally being able to not have my phone with me (and moved ALL my data over).  All the marketing makes it appear as though Audio Cues for Pace are a feature…  Little did I know that this feature doesn’t exist on the Samsung watch? This cant possibly just be an oversight.  it is too obvious of a feature to leave off the watch app, especially since the Apple watch has it.  Is this possibly a contractual thing with Apple?  It wouldn’t surprise me if it was as I know they often try to do other anti-competitive things of a similar nature.I did submit a ticket, but has anyone done so before and is there an estimated update for when this feature gets released?  I’m certainly not signing up for the premium until such time.Thanks!

Rapha 500 challenge stats incorrect

After previous ride my Rapha Festive 500 Challenge had 365km completed(which is correct), after todays additional 56 KM , stats show I completed 340km. My activities are public, nothing hidden. Anyone else experienced this?

Bug on the Map full screen button - does not expand to the whole window, but on the full display instead

This is more of a UI fix, than a feature request.I use a 4K monitor, and often have Strava opened on a website in one of the 4 corners of my large display.When I click on the full screen option on any Map within any activity on Strava, the map goes full screen on my entire 4K display, covering all other windows as well. The expected behaviour is that the Strava Map goes full screen on only that browser window.It is up to the user to maximise the browser to the full 4K size, and then click full screen on Strava, if they want that big size of a map. Strava may wish to add both options, but the default should be for the given window, not the entire display.

msps zoomec out

Doesn't happen on all maps, but most are zoomed out when you want to view them, and only way to see route is by a flyby - not very helpful. This has been since the last main update.When's it going to be resolved?

FATMAP integration

Dear Strava,I posted this previously last week and, instead of getting a reply, it appears to have been re-posted as a reply to your own thread - with no answer to my question. So, again:The loss of FATMAP has led to me having to pay a more expensive subscription to Strava.  However, the promise of a transition to FATMAP features in Strava is not happening.  The main items I have used extensively in the past and find most helpful are navigation and mountain-user features such as National topographic map layers for UK and EU countries, avalanche forecast, and slope angle/aspect layers, as well as waypoints.  There is no sign of any of these yet - do you have an expected date for the return of these?If this will not be re-introduced within the year, I would like to close my account with a full refund.Many thanks,Matt

What happened to Fatmap?

Is anyone else missing the functionality of Fatmap this winter? I’m back to using Google Earth for an oblique view of mountain terrain, but I really loved the the elevation and avalanche overlays in Fatmap.  Can some of the original Fatmap features be incorporated into the Strava map?

Feature Request: Allow Users to Remove KudosAs an active Strava user, I'd like to propose adding the ability to remove kudos. This feature would align Strava with standard social media functionality while improving the user experience. Why This Matters1. User Control: Social media platforms universally allow users to control their interactions, including the ability to remove likes or reactions. This control helps users manage their digital footprint and engagement history.2. Error Prevention: Accidental kudos can happen, especially on mobile devices. The ability to undo this action would help maintain meaningful engagement metrics.3. User Experience: While the current "kudos are forever" policy is playful, it may not serve the best interests of users who need to manage their activity history for personal reasons. Implementation SuggestionThe solution could be as simple as allowing users to tap the orange thumbs-up icon again to remove kudos, similar to how likes work on other platform

At the time of setting up my api application, I added 1 in Number of athletes allowed to connect and Number of athletes currently connected. How can I change this. As I am trying to use the app its giving me error - Error 401: Limit of connected athletes exceeded.

Multi activity challenge

Is there any way of setting up a challenge - where total miles in the challenge - but cycle miles are only counted as 33% of the total ridden..IE - 30 mile bike ride = 10 miles towards the challengewhere as a 10 mile run = 10 miles..

Unable to access most of my routes

Just wondered if anyone else has this problem. At the moment I can only access the most recent 16 (web) or 20 (app) of my routes; it is not letting me scroll or page through to see any more.My other routes still exist as many of them I have shared to my partner via Messages and I can still access them from there.

Question regarding Streams API response

Hi!I’m trying to reverse engineer the exact split information from the streams data in the Strava API.  It works OK for most cases, but I’ve noticed that there’s often times a discrepancy between the length of the distance/time array and the exact moving time (ie. the `moving_time` field).  In some cases, the streams data is wildly off.For example, all of the streams for one of my activities have length 2316.  But, the moving time for the activity is 2295.  The distance stream ends with a distance 6589.7, but the `distance` field has value 6586.9.  Is there a reason for the discrepancy in streams data? Rate Limit Increase Reply Turn Around Time

Hi everyone! I just joined the forums and recently released an iOS app that allows users to make photos with their running / walking / workout stats: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/run-story/id6737940528I have almost 300 users and am still under the rate limit at the moment. I submitted a request to increase a couple weeks ago before officially launching but never heard back, so followed up with another email today.Does anyone know the typical turn around time and if requests are accepted? Would love to make sure I have a little buffer so users don’t have a bad experience.Thanks!
