Time displayed in my uploaded activities is the upload time and not the start time of the activity

This activity was started at 10:12 and ended at 10:18 and the result was uploaded at 10:22 via API to Strava. How can I achieve that 10:12 is displayed on the Strava-Website instead of 10:22? start_date and start_date_local are set.

using api, can get stats but not activities

Trying to set up a web page for my sister-in-law, using my own python code and web page as a template. I can get her stats ok, but I get a 401 error returned when I try to get her activities. At the bottom of this message is what I get returned when I try to get her last five activities (I have replaced the Bearer code with **bleep**). I have her client_id, client_secret, refresh_token, access_token, athelete_id, grant_type, (authorization code) and the corrected paths for her stats file, auth file and activities file in a .env file and have double, triple and quadruple checked them for accuracy- what am I missing? I don't understand why stats works, but activities doesn't. Power Curve vs Average Power

Average power for the whole ride at the end of Power Curve is always lower than Average Power for the ride on the activity page. Why is that? Is it because Power Curve does not filter out stops? Is there an option to filter out stops from the Power Curve like there is an option to exclude non-moving sections from the Average Power calculation? Thanks, Haris

None of my efforts for a segment are showing towards Local Legend

The segment is this: https://www.strava.com/segments/19368887 My efforts show for my stats for the segment (13) and for PRs, but when you click the Local Legends stats it shows only one female athlete as having completed the segment in the last 90 days and that person is showing only 2 efforts. I do not appear at all. I'm assuming other women have also completed this segment in the last 90 days as well.

Activity names and details on feed

Hello, Lately my strava app doesn't show the names and details of the rides on the feed. It only shows the map and the date on my activity page and on the feed page some people's rides are only map and some others are normal Does anyone else has the same issue? My feed is of activity from other countries, not my own

Hello! I've used free version and now in 30 day trial, enjoying Strava as I prepare for the upcoming end-of-July 500 mile ride across Iowa, RAGBRAI. I'm from USA, but the activity I'm seeing of other riders is from Brazil, Turkey, and Spain. Surprised I do not see any from USA. I've checked my profile and it looks okay. Any ideas? Thanks!

How to disable "New Post" Notification

Hi everyone, recently I started receiving notifications for any post that might appear on any of the clubs I'm member of. This is super annoying as I now get many redundant notifications daily. I don't remember having this in the past, it feels like it started a few weeks ago. Is there any way to disable these kind of notifications?

GPX TRK TYPE

Can anyone please provide me a list of activity types for the GPX files? The example below has a number 4... which, as its my GPX, means hiking. Kudos to all in group feature wonky

Today when giving kudo to one person in a group activity, all people got kudos from me. Nver seen this before today. OK. No problem. However, when other people posted the ride later in the day, and I tried to add a kudos to them, it would show the kudo, but then later delete some of the kudos (some from the original automatic kudos). Every time I refreshed it seems to kudo a different set of people. This is happening with a group activity that I participated in and one that I didn't. Desktop version.

How to Associate a Strava Activity to Device Record

In my app, athletes can connect their Strava, Garmin Connect and COROS accounts to, among other things, capture completed activities. So if they've connected both Strava and, say, Garmin, then when they complete workouts, we'll receive activity records from both accounts. Problem is we only want the workout to appear once in their calendars, and to accomplish this, I've used date/time and other logic to try to detect duplicates. But that isn't foolproof since start time, distance and completion time can all be different for the same workout. Is there anything available in the Activity record that would definitively say which device activity record it's associated with, or is there a more robust way to associate the two records? I see there's an external_id field, but sometimes it references a ping record, sometimes it references a FIT file, and sometimes it's empty. It used to contain the Garmin activity ID which directly referenced the ID in Garmin's record, and that was perfect, but

Changing the map type using the API

Hi, I am trying to make a program that as soon as I upload an activity, changes the title, the description, and most importantly the map type from the regular orange line, to the "support Ukraine" map type. I have been playing around with the API, using the get request to see an activity, but there is no entry for the map type. Is this even possible? Best, J

Web Application

Hi, I have been working on a simple web application to track running performance. Currently I am using the MySQL database. I have a form taking in Time of run as a string. I was running into issues trying to store the run time as a time via MySQL. I joined Strava hoping I could inspect the HTML with hopes of helping me with my issue. First, I observed that information is being stored as JSON objects. I also observed that the inputs of the form we're taking in the time for a run as a number. I was hoping to engage in a conversation with a developer to assist me as I try to solve my issue and continue building my application. My questions are can I accomplish my goal with MySQL as my database or will I need to convert to a NoSQL database? Does my information need to be input as a JSON object? What steps should I take to accomplish storing "duration" of a run in my Web Application?

Virtual walking feature

I can't find the feature suggestion board anywhere. Sorry. Suggested feature: A lot of people now own walking pads to use when working from home. When I use mine Strava thinks I have been for a run and I can't change it to walking. "Virtual walking" as an activity option would fix this and mean that I don't earn running trophies by accident 🙂 Thanks for your time.

Has something changed recently with best efforts? I am getting 'silly' records from activities with GPS problems that I have flagged myself - these never counted before.

Changing to Webhook Events API - who can help?

For years our website has run cron jobs sending request to the Strava API. We are having three cron jobs. So every minute we are sending request to Strava but we are experiencing "Rate Limit Exceed " issues now. Strava suggests making a change to web hook events API, which is fine by me, but where do I find capable resources to that code change?

how to pull activity information from all athletes via API

I need to be able to access the routes, to later search for the GPX of each Athlete associated with my club, and thus be able to recover all the statistics to consolidate name, date, hour, local, km, gpx The api I'm using is: GET https://www.strava.com/api/v3/athletes/:athleteId/routes?page=1&per_page=200 but I get Forbidden Is there any way to search for the information of the athletes associated with my club?

Invalid time while importing training from GPX

Hi Guys I am importing my hiking trails from 3rd party app. I review GPX files manually, and all tracking points look fine, but imported to Strava shows training duration e.g. 1:16h while in origin it was 8:32h. Have any idea? I have already tried such converter https://gotoes.org/strava/Combine_GPX_TCX_FIT_Files.php but the final result is the same.

Hello and a Question

Hello everyone, my name is Luciano, brazilian, 49 years old and I'm a road cyclist, eventually a mountain biker. I've been a Strava user since 2014, I started uploading from a Garmin device in 2015. I have a question, see many users who manage to record the same activity at the same time, recording from a device and a cell phone. I notice that in this action the distances and elevations accumulate, which is unfair in the monthly challenges. The question is, should we keep flagging these double activities, couldn't Strava detect this automatically? Thank you and good trainings to all.

Merging of activities?

I'm an avid cyclist and backpacker and I recently completed a 3-day backpacking trip. As usual, I recorded my activities over the three days and everything was great, but I wish there was a feature where I could merge my three separate activities (days) into one activity to show my total stats for the entire trip in addition to each individual day. I camped along the route, so each previous day's endpoint was the next day's start point and I feel like this would be a fairly straightforward feature to add. It could also be applied for bikepacking. Has anyone else wondered about this?

Pin a route

I have routes downloaded for offline use. I want to use these routes on a run/hike. Unfortunately the route gets un-highlighted and in the middle of nowhere, I am stuck. I suspect if I clicked "do this route" in Strava it would work but on a very long hike I cannot afford for my phone battery to take that hit. Any way to pin the route?
