Manually added swimming activities can only be measured in multiples of 25 metres or yards. However, many pools are not a standard size and this makes it clumsy. Also, to compound the issue I can add decimal places. For example, I can add a 1,000.3m swim, but not a 1,030m swim. Allowing manual swims to be completely adjustable would have better functionality. Put bluntly, allowing such precision for centimetres but not metres makes little sense.  Not all wearables track swimming, or do so accurately. However, pools will often indicate length and you can just count laps, then upload. Strava does a poor job of supporting these swims. 

HiI've just run a 12km and checked my times - can anyone explain why the moving time total shown (1.10.03) is different to the splits (I've totalled them up, equalling 1.09.12)?(NB I understand the difference between moving and elapsed times)Thanks!Mark

How do I get the app to show calories burned again and stop showing kg Co2?  I don't have this problem when viewing an activity on the website, just on the app.Thank you!Jeff

I have this problem several times and i consistently get a forbidden message when trying to save a route that has been shared with me from another strave user via imessage. The route opens i can see everything but when i click save it says forbidden. The only work around is to edit the route a bit and then it will save. Changing the name doesn't work either. I'm an iphone user and trying to do this via the strava app on my iphone - any help or things I might be able to try would be much appreciated.

Good morning!  I uploaded a gpx file (route) on the Strava website, hoping it would automatically synch with my Strava on my iphone. I had previously saved three routes successfully, so I have some previous experience. For some reason, the route I uploaded (successfully) on my laptop to the website, does not appear as a saved route on my Strava app on my iphone. Am I being too impatient? Does it require a lot of time? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

Recently a new MUT opened and is quickly becoming popular with runners and cyclists.   As it was created where no path previously existed, the Strava maps don't show it and the only way to use it in route planning is via manual mode.This isn't a big deal but it did get me wondering how I could go about providing necessary info to Strava to get it added.

Dear Strava (and users),I am getting increasingly annoyed by the many irrelevant postings I experience in my Dashboard between activities. How do I get rid of or disable these?To explain: My Dashboard is my goto page when opening Strava. Normally, I will have my latest activity at the top but below that I have to scroll, scroll and scroll to get to my next activity, past a great number of posts on Gravel, How to get in shape, Tour de France and what-have-you-not... This is deeply irritating as I check in to analyse and compare activities, not to get in shape or because I don't know who won what race.I could accept my Dashboard being contaminated if my "Activity Feed" was clean as I could then just go to that page. But this page shows exactly the same as my Dashboard - so what is the meaning of having an explicit activity page if it is also contaminated?At the very least a "Show"/"Do not show" button would be nice.I recognise that my clubs "need" to push ads and weird stuff, I signed up

Hi, I've never ridden a gravel bike in my life. I was on a MOUNTAIN BIKE ride today, and yet again, for the like 100th time, my mountain bike ride was labeled a gravel ride. Is there not some way to set the default ride as a mountain bike ride? Everyone I rode with has mountain bike for the same ride. I've looked all over the web and can't find a way to fix this. Clearly not the end of the world, also starting to get annoying.  I don't get it. This started happening months ago -I don't own gravel bikes, and while some of the terrain I ride is also suitable for gravel, there's no way a system could look at my activity and think this was my default. Thanks for any help. Would love to never see this again. Thanks!  

After updating my ride, The map will not show up for my ride. evrything else does. I am not sure why. It used to work fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

First off, I have my feed order set to chronological. What I'm noticing is that posts completely ignore this setting and repeatedly filter up to the top of my feed.Note that I'm not talking about run/bike/swim/etc activities. I'm talking about posts, like when a pro athlete creates a post on their feed to promote their latest YouTube video or sponsorship, etc.I'm forced to read it every single time I open Strava. I'm assuming it's because the post gets a lot of engagement, but I have my feed set to chronological for a reason. It's because I don't want an algorithm to decide what I see and I don't want Strava to turn into Facebook or Instagram.

This feature did not work yesterday on a ride, on exactly the same route that I have done frequently before. Any suggestions for resolving the problem

Hello everyone,For a few weeks now my average power has reduced significantly compared to before. My cycling style hasn't changed and the equipment hasn't changed in the app either. It's about the calculated/estimated power because I don't have a powermeter. Has strava made any changes to the calculation?Best regards

When viewing a group event, selecting the action to view the route no longer works (Android).Instead, selecting the action to view the route just takes you to the route generator function.

hi all, what can I do about not getting the QOMs I earned? I can't figure out why it's happening - I tried Refreshing stats on both Segment page and Activity page and still does not show as updated. Any ideas? 

Why is Pace no longer being shown on the main screen? There is spare space to do this under Moving Time.Elevation is shown and frankly no one I know is interested in that, we just want to see if our pace is improving. Why did you stop showing this recently? It is making me consider moving to another app

  Hi there,Please add Strava to the list of available apps on Apple Watch Ultra for the action button. It is now open to third parties (like Podometer++ here in the screenshot). 

This is not a post for asking for help, but rather to vent my frustration about Strava's lack about basic features:- Why are there no turn-by-turn directions for a pre-planned route either with audio cues or some sort of display on my smartwatch? Or even better: Why not both?-Why does the app on my smartwatch not work in unison with the app on the phone? Meaning, if I start a workout on my phone, why isn't the same workout simultaneously displayed on my smartwatch?- Which brings me to my next point: Why are there no cues for entering and leaving a certain puls zone?-Why is there not a save button at the bottom of the editing page after you finish your workout? You always run the risk of deleting your workout because of it.-Why can't you upload non-GPS workouts from other apps to Strava?-Why can't you turn off GPS for certain activities? For example: It doesn't make sense to have GPS turned on during swimming in a pool since GPS is by far not accurate enough to track your lanes properly

When Wahoo system uploads a ride to Strava, Strava should upload it as a virtual ride by default.Strava already auto detects different types of ride based on Garmin ride profiles (gravel, MTB, road, etc), why not just do the same logic for everything from Wahoo System, RGT, Zwift etc.

All my previous entries and friends are gone after the update. I am continually promoted to start a payed subscription. Is this a pay app now?

I uploaded my last 2 activities on my suunto app, but I'm waiting for 5 hours and they are still not uploaded/synced on Strava. Perfect on Suunto app, nothing on Strava.This is the first time that something like this happens.What should I do?Thanks in advance.

Any tabs that could show you gear and mileage on them. Always takes way to long to get too and track

One problem with the global heatmap is that it does not tell, for a popular route, if one direction is much more popular than the opposite direction. E.g. some MTB routes are only rideable downwards, some others are boring downwards but popular upwards.Would it be possible to colorize each pixel according to the most popular direction? E.g. white when no direction is more popular than the others, red if north is more popular, blue if west is more popular… Or maybe a filter to only show the intensity of circulation going north, etc.Thanks!
