Strava Features Chat

I have two activities that, when I click on the link from the list of all my activities, I just get a page that states “Oops! There seems to be a problem”. I have raised a support ticket several times now but when I check back later to see if there’s been any response, I’m told the ticket has been closed but I can raise a ‘follow up’! Any idea how I can resolve this? Whilst I would like to see my activity, I really would like to download the gpx data for these two routes.I have almost two thousand Strava activities and as far as I can remember this is the only time I’ve ever encountered this problem.

The Strava app on Android has started making a habit of popping up a message pointing out that it is possible to look at my profile.This functionality has been there for ages and I have opened it often enough.  Why does the annoying popup keep reappearing?

My app seems to have updated recently and now the Strava route suggestions is not working.It will not come up with any routes when I ask for hills, hard efforts, off road etc from my location even though it used to have dozens of suggested routes.If you remove some of the filters, eg difficulty, it might come up with a supposedly hilly route that is pancake flat, and not starting anywhere near your location.It really isn't fit for purpose at the moment, which is really frustrating as it is the main reason I pay for premium .

It would be really helpful to have rate of elevation gain (i.e. ft/mile) displayed in activity summaries so compare at a glance relative climbing. In addition it would be great to have runs categorised using fell running categorisation("Fell running races are categorized by both distance and difficulty: DistanceRaces are categorized as short (S), medium (M), or long (L): Short: Less than 6 miles (9.6 km) Medium: Between 6 and 12 miles (19.3 km) Long: More than 12 miles DifficultyRaces are categorized as A, B, or C, with A being the most difficult and C being the least: A: Average of at least 250 ft of climb per mile, and no more than 20% of the race on roadsB: Average of at least 125 ft of climb per mile, and no more than 30% of the race on roadsC: Average of at least 100 ft of climb per mile, and no more than 40% of the race on roads")

I have a many People I follow on Strava but I don´t want to miss the activities of my best friends. I have them as favorite + notify when the upload an activity. But since a few days this notify is no longer working so I miss activities of  my friends.Notify when someone sends a comment on an activity is ok working.

My pace updates I got through my headphones have disappeared and I can't find where in the settings to turn them back on? 

why does this feature use standard maps? Usually it uses satellite maps. Is there a solution for this?

If you are managing a Club there is a dedicated field for the website, but that does nothing! As we are a club that is also quite active outside of Strava, there should be the possibility to Link to that website. (You also remove all links posted in the text)If Strava wants to be a social hub, there needs to be a way to link to the outside, at least for a Club. This gets quite frustrating in addition to other changes that worsened the experience!

I find the fitness trend tracker really frustrating. As far as I can tell it makes an assumption that every day you don't log something in Strava, your fitness declines by x% and also makes assumptions about the incremental fitness you gain from each activity. Given that not everything I do is logged on Strava (shocking, I know) this is totally inaccurate. However, you have all the data you need to work out actual fitness, as, over time, I will do similar workouts, at similar levels of effort and you have all my HR data.  For example, if I do a 5k run in September at a certain speed and HR, and then I do the same run (or similar) 4 months later at the same HR but faster, you know my fitness has increased. You must be able to build an algorithm that calculates some index of fitness by comparing my HR, relative effort, speed etc etc, regardless of how many sessions I have actually logged.

Be able to flag segments themselves, not individuals. There is at least one segment in Boulder that shows a faster time than the splits for that segment. Attached is what I’m referring to. It says my pace was in the 8s, but if you look at my miles 4, 5, and 6—which were part of the segment—they were in the 10s and 9s. This issue isn’t unique to my run; in fact, it affects everyone who has completed the segment.

It strikes me as a little uncharitable that Strava would put the new night time heatmap functionality under their premium setting. Women shouldn’t have to pay more for safety & yet so often they e are penalised. Also happy equal pay day ladies - for the rest of the year we don’t get paid as much as men on average…great timing 

I can open the HUB from the email, but I see no links at all IN STRAVA to go to the hub.  Am I missing something?

Ok, I understood that killing FatMap the best way to get money from subscribers.But why this great tool so bat implemented to strava? Did you see how it looks? Why all the hills pretended to be a peak? Do you really think that mountains should be so tall.  Can you please return the display of the mountains as it was done in FatMap? 

New this morning, I’ve been getting notifications for users who I do not have favorited. This is a really obnoxious use of notifications with no clear way to turn it off without turning off notifications for favorited users. This appeared to start this morning. Also, why was my last thread about this deleted?

Can someone from Strava please help me understand as a paid user why I can't share links? Or when this feature might be available again? I can't share links for tracking while doing ultra cycling races. Nor can I share videos I've put together after for others to watch from these efforts. This is really tempting for me to cancel my membership with Strava because the platform continues to ignore this. Or the ability to link a route that wasn't created on Strava? This is so simple but you've got extreme to disable this feature.

Recently the icon for velomobile rides changed to the most icon thinkable. Everyone I asked was complaining about it just like me. The old icon was most elegant and much more precise in reflecting the shape of the well known velomobiles. The current icon looks like a small car and is not aerodynamic at all. Please can you change the icon for velomobile rides back to the old one?

Hi all,how do you report a segment leader who has not walked/hiked but have recorded it as this? The person had completed on horse back but logged as run/hike which is really upsetting when your trying to do your best and this would be impossible to beat on foot uphill! any ideas? Thanks 

If an activity has a large amount of splits, the elevation graph will not be aligned to the splits in the Workout Analysis view.Image showing incorrect alignment inside the view: Image showing correct alignment outside of the Analysis view: How to reproduce:1. Upload an activity with a lot of short splits in the middle. (My example had ~80 splits)2. Open the Workout Analysis view.3. The elevation graph will not align with the splits.

I recorded a hike on my Garmin Etrex with an elapsed time of 4:12:51 and moving time of 3:54:26. When it loaded to Strava the elapsed time showed as 4:12:46 which is fine but the moving time came up as 00:00:59 giving a pace of 11s/mile. A new world record! Any ideas why Strava would not pick up the correct stats from Garmin?

Moving Time is useless, I never want the time from my watch to be different than what Strava shows. So when I need to get rid of the moving time and only use elapsed time, I set an activity to be a Race. BUT-- I went to do that today and the option isn't there.I have options for Sport, Map Type, Tags, and Shows. Where did activity type go (it had options for Workout, Long Run, Race)?

I may be confused, but I seem to be unable to find public routes on the Strava website and at the same time I cannot find my personal routes on the Strava (Android) app.   Is it just me?On the website, I can find My Routes and a "Routes" item in the footer under "Explore" that leads to a list of hiking routes (but no biking routes!?)On the app, under "Map", there is a "Saved" tab, but for the past two days, clicking "Saved Routes" returns "Server is not responding, please try again later".I ran into all this because I went for a long gravel ride yesterday and wanted to have the route on my phone, but I could not find it.   I did find out that the most popular saved route in my area is terrible -- I'm not sure why anyone would recommend it.  The recommended route puts people on a busy and dangerous major highway when there are lovely and quiet alternatives on the same loop.  I had hoped to find the recommended ride on the websit

Hi I have accidentally deleted an activity on April 21st at around 10:30am BST - it was a 44km run - the London marathon recorded in the Strava app on my iPhone. Please can you restore this - I did save it to my profile but then deleted it - I have since uploaded an Apple Watch activity of this run but it hasn’t captured the distance correctly so want to replace it with my Strava recording if that makes sense?I’ve raised a ticket several times but no response can someone help please?

Dear Strava Community, I would like to analyse my Training in defined last periods, overall but also per category. I am interested in analyses like: - Cycling, last three months, last 12 months, current year, total time, average HR, max HR, etc - the same for Hiking alone, or Running alone - the same for all together In my previous App I could summarise really flexible like in relational database. Additionally I could download raw data into a Excel spreadsheet where each data log was available as a line (eg. all logged data like HR etc each 3 seconds...) In Strava I cannot really find more then "My Activities", which is only a list of my trainings. Data analysis or visualisation per type over periods, etc is not available. Would be happy for any advice. Looking forward to hear from you Strava power users! Best regards Joachim
