Welcome to the Hub - Aug. 2024 Edition

Happy August & welcome to the hub! The Community Hub is a space for our members to share ideas, ask questions, share product knowledge, get updates and so much more. As we enter August, the days are becoming shorter (for those in the Northern Hemisphere) and families are squeezing in one last summer vacation before school starts. This month we also see the conclusion to the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The closing ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 11. You can also join the Paris 2024 Strava Club for updates. Red Bull Vert - I - Go Elevation Error

I completed the elevation Red Bull Vert - I -Go Challenge with with 72,037 feet but when I scroll down to see my actual result it is only logging me with 67,453 feet and it seems it did not count my activity. Why would this have happened. I did not change any preferences on the app and my activity recorded like all others did. It is disappointing to have over 3,500 feet of elevation gain not counted towards my actual placing even though it says I logged that amount on the top of the page.

Updates To Our Idea Statuses

Hello! Since the Community Hub launched 2 years ago we’ve seen almost 2,000 ideas submitted to our Community Hub! Each and every one of these ideas have been read and reviewed by our team. We pay close attention to what is being voted on and the discussions that are being had. Apple Watch Complication

Hi, I just bought a new Apple Watch and when selecting the watch face was able to add a variety of “complications“ (micro buttons on the watch face to access other apps). Setting up I was able to choose Strava as a complication (micro button), but it required me to log into my Strava account on my phone (I got a new phone at the weekend too  so needed to login to my Strava account for the first time on that phone). I did this but still couldn’t access Strava through the micro button. I restarted the phone and watch and now the option to even select Strava has disappeared from the complications menu. Can anyone help please?

STRAVA Support Unresponsive

Hi,I deleted an activity in error. I submitted a request to have the activity restored. I received a confirmation PopUp that the email was sent. However, I was not assigned a ticket number and I cannot see a pending request. I resubmitted several times with the same result. Is anyone aware of a contact number for STRAVA?

Media Error - Unable to Procees Photo

This is the first time I’m seeing this issue after choosing photos to include in my Strava post - red banner at the top says “Media Error” then when I click into the picture it says at the bottom “Unable to Process Photo - We were unable to resize and compress your photo. Please delete or try again.” Using an iPhone 13pro. Never had this happen before - I’ve logged out and logged back in but same result. Any suggestions?

Locked out of my account

I am locked out of my account with all of my activities on and when I try to change password it keeps taking me to open a new account.I have deleted the new accounts I have opened but I know my old account is still active as my friends can see my activities on there.I am unsure if it's because I tried to change email address but I've tried password reset on both of my email address and it will not let me back in.I emailed Strava support but I am not getting a reply.Please can someone help me getting my account back 😫

Good morning, I am contacting you to request a refund regarding an annual Strava subscription that was automatically renewed. A month ago, my friend Marin offered me to take advantage of the free one-month subscription to Strava. I accepted and added my credit card to benefit from this free trial. However, today I was charged €60 for an annual subscription that I did not want to renew. I am a minor and this purchase was made in error. This amount represents a significant portion of my savings, which took me almost two years to accumulate. I did not intend to continue with the paid subscription and would like to request a refund. All my actitivites have vanished

I only have two entries on my strava one years ago and one earlier this year. Everything else has vanished including my marathons. Has this happened to anyone or has anything happened in recent times where stuff gets scrubbed. The first entry was from 2015 btw. Thanks in advance.Be gutted if they are gone

Maps Problem Solved [version 368.0.1]

 I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the latest update that introduced the ‘Map only’ feature. A few months ago, I raised a concern about the usability of the maps being significantly reduced due to the overlaying of suggested routes that couldn’t be toggled off. This cluttered the map view and made the tool very cumbersome to use.I’m thrilled to see that this new update has completely solved that issue! The ability to have a clean, uncluttered map view has greatly improved usability. It’s clear that the team listened to the feedback from the community, and I really appreciate the effort put into making this change.It’s not often that we get to say thank you for a fix, so I wanted to make sure to share my appreciation. Keep up the great work!

Demande de remboursement pour renouvellement d'abonnement annuel

Bonjour, Je vous écris pour vous demander un remboursement concernant un abonnement annuel Strava qui a été renouvelé automatiquement. Tout a commencé il y a un mois, lorsque mon ami Marin m'a proposé d'essayer l'abonnement gratuit d'un mois à Strava. J'ai accepté et ajouté ma carte de crédit pour bénéficier de cet essai gratuit. Wrong activity details synced between strava watch app and strava account

Hello,Recently I faced the below issue while recording my workout through strava.I did a treadmill run of 10.23km in 79 mins from 08:30am to 09:40am. I recorded this activity as Indoor Run on my watch through Strava app for Galaxy Watch Active 2. The app recorded the duration correctly but showed the distance as 10.8km so I edited the distance to 10.23km before saving the activity on watch app.Now when the activity was synced by watch strava app to strava account the duration was synced correctly but the distance is changed to 5.1km and start time shown is 02:45am. So my starva account shows wrong details but watch strava app is still showing correctly. Tried multiple resyncs but no use.I have recorded activities multiple times before but there was no such issue ever. This is the first time such issue has occurred. Please suggest a solution to this issue. Saving Strava Map to Photos

After a run, I used to be able to hit the "Share To" button & select "Save to Photos" on my iPhone or iPad.  Today it doesn't even give me that option.  It just says Copy, New Quick Note, Save to Files or Save to Pinterest.  How to I save my activity map to my photos again?

Activities missing on Heatmap again

Many MTB and Gravelbike activities are missing on my personal heatmap. Same issue as in april, but now it is on the desktop, on mobile (android) it works. This is really upsetting me, as i need the personal heatmap to plan new activities. What`s happening there Strava?

Archive Download Request doesn't work

Hi,6 days ago I requested my archive download from https://www.strava.com/athlete/delete_your_account but I still didn't get an email (even in spam folder). I contacted support couple days ago but no answer. Can I get any help with my issue please?Thanks
