All my Strava support request gets marked as solved right away. But I haven’t gotten any help. Why?

I'm a premium subscriber. It's weird to me that I can only see Total time, distance and current speed on the dashboard while recording. Is it possible to show other live metrics like Avg and max speeds, and heart rate and stuff?

I understand that the default activity type is supposed to be the one used most recently, but for some reason, “Elliptical,” which I only did a few times a long time ago, always appears as the default. It is troublesome to have to reselect “Walking” every time, so I would like to know if there is a solution.

I know this is a frequently requested feature from many users. Not sure why Strava hasn't rolled this out as a option under Preferences |  ☑️ Show Elapsed Time in All ActivityI regularly post photos with workout stats on Facebook and the exhausting steps I take to getting the Elapsed Time stats onto the images: Edit Activity | change Type of Activity from None to Race | Save | share Photos to my Gmail and repeat. Once I'm done, return to Edit Activity | change Type of Activity from Race to None | Save.I prefer to show the total time it has taken me to complete my Trail Run, Ride or Swim. 

Hi - my recently bought Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 has issues finding the GPS when I open it pre-run.I've tried resetting the watch completely, giving all permissions to the Strava app, rebooting, clearing the cache, force stop etc, but go through periods of 'error preparing exercise, please try again' on the GPS fix screen when trying to start a run.Sometimes it does work, then other times not despite locations not varying. Not sure if this is a hardware issue but checking to see if others have the same issue...

I appreciate that this has been reported numerous times over the past few years. The answer for the past 2 years has always been “We have passed this onto the relevant developers”. But looking at the “KNOWN ISSUES” there is nothing I can find when searching for “Google” or “Google Fit”.Issue 1I can confirm that the bug is still exactly as earlier reported. Activities do not sync with Google Fit until you edit them and then they do sync. Can you clarify whether there is still an open issue for this? I'm trying to figure out where the surface type data comes from for Strava. I know some of it comes from OSM(OpenStreetMaps) and that's referenced here - https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/8471952550669-Route-Terrain, but there seems to be other data being sourced as well.  Old Ferry Rd and Groveland St both show as being paved roads, which is accurate.  When I go to look at Groveland St in OSM there is a surface tag saying that it's asphalt, so that makes sense.But... When I look at Old Ferry Rd, there is no surface tag present.. So how does Strava know that this road is paved??? 

I recently needed to create a second strava api application because I need API access on two different subdomains, but it's incredibly limited with the Number of athletes allowed to connect being capped at 1. As far as I can tell, nowhere on the 'My API Application' page is there a link to apply for actual API access, which is incredibly frustrating from a developer experience standpoint. Still, I filled out the Strava’s Developer Program form that I received in my email. This was almost a month ago, and I haven't received a response of any kind yet. If I've been denied, that's again frustrating from a DX standpoint--I'm only looking to use a different subdomain on an app that's already been verified. It's also obviously pretty disrespectful to not have an email sent letting me know that I've been denied. In general, information about this stuff seems hard to come by, and I don't think it should be that way. 

I've seen that you're unable to have multiple sub-domains authorized for a callback URL on the application, but what about for testing locally?I'd love to test version my application on localhost but unfortunately it looks like I have to have an entirely separate application for it and wondering if that is anyway by-passable for local testing. Yesterday I went for a run, 10k.Usually when a save the activity on my Garmin Forerunner 255 in less than a minute I’ll be able to see it on Strava.Yesterday the activity was normally visibile in Garmin Connect, but isn’t uploaded to Strava yet

Hello,A while ago my audio notifications stopped working and i don't know why. I've already tried to adjust the following settings:- apps authorization;- uninstalled the app and restarted the phone - reinstall the app- tried and connect with my headphones - adjusted the text to speech settings and the language I have a nothing 3a. I hope that there is a solution other than having to do a factory reset.

For almost 2 months I’ve not been able to create a route on any of my Windows 11 browsers. I deleted cookies, cleared caches and I even set up a new windows user account just for the purpose of using a new browser (with no extension) but all to no avail. Nothing happens anymore when I enter the ‘start’ and ‘end’ postcodes.I’m a paid subscriber but It’s as if Strava no longer recognizes me as a paid subscriber halfway through the subscription.Any advice please?

Recently, the Strava interface changed on the ride screen on my iPhone and now there is a giant “pause” button taking up a good amount of space at the bottom of my screen.  This is bad design. Not only is it taking up unnecessary screen space, the big button can be easily tapped by accident. My last two rides, I have had lots of miles not get properly recorded because I inadvertently had tapped the pause button without knowing it.   And of course, when you click resume and you’re in a different location, then you get those straight lines and not the GPS tracks.   This is just bad design.   Strava Team, if you are reading this, please do something to correct it.  Thank you.   

Hello, the following API appears to no longer be returning latlng.  I believe I ran this same URL a few weeks ago and did receive latlng in the results.“https://www.strava.com/api/v3/activities/<ACTIVITY_ID>/streams?access_token=<ACCESS_TOKEN>&keys=time,latlng&key_by_type=true” When I convert the response to json, the structure of the response appears as follows (I put in the “...”){'distance': {'data': [0.0, 0.0, 9.2, ... 4438.1, 4440.6], 'series_type': 'distance', 'original_size': 246, 'resolution': 'high'}, 'time': {'data': [0, 1, 10, ... 1550, 1551], 'series_type': 'distance', 'original_size': 246, 'resolution': 'high'}} Previously, the response string included a section that was structured as follows (but with actual lat/lon pairs):'latlng': {'data': [[0.0, 0.0], [0.0, 0.0], [0.0, 0.0] … [0.0, 0.0], [0.0, 0.0]}... Is this a bug, did I miss an API change, or perhaps did I change something in my code without realizing it? Thank you in advance for any assistance. 

I had a webhook that was working for a few years and stopped working on April 12. I thought perhaps deleting and resubscribing might do something. I was able to delete the old subscription. If I try to subscribe using the same process that has worked in the past, I get a "not verifiable" response back. The strange thing is that my server logs don't show any traffic from the Strava server, so it seems like Strava can't contact my server.Anyone have any ideas?

I’ve just noticed that if I cycle to work (and mark it as a commute as a result), I can no longer see how many calories I’ve burnt. Instead calories gets replaced with CO2 saved.I mean, that’s great, I don’t mind seeing that, but why hide my calories? That’s literally why I record my bike trips, so I can add the calories burnt to MyFitnessPal. You have the data, just show it! Sure, I know roughly how many kCal my usual route takes - but I don’t always go the same route!

I created https://www.strava.com/segments/39918812 from today’s run. Initially it was showing only me on that segment and it wasn’t populated with other people. After several hours I tried to edit the segment and saved it without making any changes. After that the segment leaderboard quickly populated with other people, however my original run activity from which I created that segment doesn’t match it even after I repeatedly try to refresh achievements. How is that possible?I should add that if I go to the list nearly matched segments on the web, which is the “Don't see the segment you're looking for?” link at the bottom, curiously, the new segment is listed there among other segments that were close but didn’t quite match, even though it shows that segment as a perfect match - obviously because that how I created that segment. I wonder why it can’t get matched though?Can someone from Strava take a look?

I have a running blog and a separate riding blog on two different domains.I set up the API for my earlier site and it’s working fine.But I cannot set it up to also run on the newer riding website: {"message":"Bad Request","errors":[{"resource":"Application","field":"redirect_uri","code":"invalid"}]}Any ideas/workarounds?Both sites are running WordPress.

As an avid runner and cyclist I love using Strava and it’s become one of my favorite forms of social media. However the video upload quality is shockingly bad, especially for a paid platform as popular as Strava in the year 2025. You can do better. Please include the ability to upload more high quality video clips along with the new updates that have been happening recently. Thanks!!

Under “Report Profile” there is no option to report an obvious bot account, so I just end up blocking them and not reporting them. I get 2 or 3 bots following me per day and I’m not even popular. I’m getting fed up and it seems like Strava doesn’t even want to take the most basic steps towards addressing the problem.

I created a Discord bot using the Strava API. Our club has around 600 members, and we plan to organize team competitions on our Discord server. However, the "Number of athletes allowed to connect" is limited to 1, so I'm unable to fully utilize the API. I have filled out the form and submitted it. How long does it take for approval?
