Cleaning my dashboard

Dear Strava (and users),I am getting increasingly annoyed by the many irrelevant postings I experience in my Dashboard between activities. How do I get rid of or disable these?To explain: My Dashboard is my goto page when opening Strava. Normally, I will have my latest activity at the top but below that I have to scroll, scroll and scroll to get to my next activity, past a great number of posts on Gravel, How to get in shape, Tour de France and what-have-you-not... This is deeply irritating as I check in to analyse and compare activities, not to get in shape or because I don't know who won what race.I could accept my Dashboard being contaminated if my "Activity Feed" was clean as I could then just go to that page. But this page shows exactly the same as my Dashboard - so what is the meaning of having an explicit activity page if it is also contaminated?At the very least a "Show"/"Do not show" button would be nice.I recognise that my clubs "need" to push ads and weird stuff, I signed up

[KNOWN ISSUE] Problems creating Routes

UPDATE FROM STRAVA: We're aware of a technical issue that may impact some Athletes who are trying to create longer routes. Sincere apologies for this issue.  Our Team is working on a fix, and we will update this thread when we have more information. We appreciate your patience. Hi just tried to create a route for tomorrow in the app and it can no longer create routes. Does anyone know how to do this now?

Default activity always set to Gravel Ride. It bugs.

Hi, I've never ridden a gravel bike in my life. I was on a MOUNTAIN BIKE ride today, and yet again, for the like 100th time, my mountain bike ride was labeled a gravel ride. Is there not some way to set the default ride as a mountain bike ride? Everyone I rode with has mountain bike for the same ride. I've looked all over the web and can't find a way to fix this. Clearly not the end of the world, also starting to get annoying.  I don't get it. This started happening months ago -I don't own gravel bikes, and while some of the terrain I ride is also suitable for gravel, there's no way a system could look at my activity and think this was my default. Thanks for any help. Would love to never see this again. Thanks!

No map showing up after ride is uploaded

After updating my ride, The map will not show up for my ride. evrything else does. I am not sure why. It used to work fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Why Do Posts Keep Filtering To the Top of My Feed?

First off, I have my feed order set to chronological. What I'm noticing is that posts completely ignore this setting and repeatedly filter up to the top of my feed.Note that I'm not talking about run/bike/swim/etc activities. I'm talking about posts, like when a pro athlete creates a post on their feed to promote their latest YouTube video or sponsorship, etc.I'm forced to read it every single time I open Strava. I'm assuming it's because the post gets a lot of engagement, but I have my feed set to chronological for a reason. It's because I don't want an algorithm to decide what I see and I don't want Strava to turn into Facebook or Instagram.

Average power in Watts

Hello everyone,For a few weeks now my average power has reduced significantly compared to before. My cycling style hasn't changed and the equipment hasn't changed in the app either. It's about the calculated/estimated power because I don't have a powermeter. Has strava made any changes to the calculation?Best regards

Map navigation issue

Hi, I’m new to strava premium but this is the 2nd time I’ve come across an issue with it (perhaps I’m not using it correctly) and I’m seriously considering cancelling before it charges me.I drew a bike route this morning and clicked “use route” on record to follow the route however I didn’t get any navigation queues instead I was just watching the map on my phone and had to keep twisting it mid ride to align the direction as it kept assuming I was facing at 90 degrees to my riding direction! I kept tapping the map icon but this just changed to metrics never to directions. finally when I stopped the ride the post on my homepage had no map attached. any help would be great before I decide to cancel. Thanks

Links to routes from group events not working

When viewing a group event, selecting the action to view the route no longer works (Android).Instead, selecting the action to view the route just takes you to the route generator function.

hi all, what can I do about not getting the QOMs I earned? I can't figure out why it's happening - I tried Refreshing stats on both Segment page and Activity page and still does not show as updated. Any ideas?

remove user from application

Is there a way to remove a user from the app. I can delete all the user data from my side, but I can't remove their subscription from strava (from what I can see this isn't possible).I am geting events for users that have been removed and I dont need to have those events.Maybe I am missing something, I would appreciate any help/advice.

Pace

Why is Pace no longer being shown on the main screen? There is spare space to do this under Moving Time.Elevation is shown and frankly no one I know is interested in that, we just want to see if our pace is improving. Why did you stop showing this recently? It is making me consider moving to another app

403 Error : Rate limit exceeded

 We've been experiencing consistent 403 errors (rate limit exceeded) since August 15th, despite consuming only 10% of our daily API quota. Our usage graph shows an inexplicable spike of 100x our normal traffic, resulting in both daily and 15-minute limit breaches. We've paused all API requests, but the graph continues to display high usage.An attached screenshot illustrates the anomalous activity. We suspect a potential DDoS attack is artificially inflating our usage. Has anyone else encountered similar issues? Any guidance or support would be greatly appreciated.

Calories Burned API Call Discrepancy

Calories burned is available when using the getActivityById call but not when using the getLoggedInAthleteActivities call. I am using the API to generate a dataset with ALL of my Strava activities and having calories available for the historic dataset would be ideal. Am I missing something or is there a reason calories have been omitted from the getLoggedInAthleteActivities call?Thanks!

Push Subscription Bad Request 400 error

Hi,I'm working on registering my app for push subscription and when I run the post request outlined here I receive 400 status and this:{"message": "Bad Request","errors": [{"resource": "PushSubscription","field": "callback url","code": "not verifiable"}]}I'm able to get 200 status and the required hub.challenge to return if I hit the callback_url from 1) python requests & 2) curl. Then when I run the post (push subscriptions request) either with Python requests or curl, I receive the above error. Checking my server, I do not receive anything from Strava in this. Its like the callback url is blocked before Strava sends anything to it and I get the above error within 1 second, when it should be waiting 2 seconds for a response.My server is running a flask api with nginx proxying api calls to the flask server. Could this be causing issues?Does anyone else have any ideas for what I can check out? I'm operating at a .ai domain. Anything I should be aware of there?Python:url =

Heatmaps - date filter

Would it be possible to introduce a time filter to heatmaps so that trails that fall out of favour fade out?I live in an area surrounded by forests and use the heatmap facility extensively to find new routes to run / cycle off the main fire trails. However, due to forestry work over recent months and years and the inaccessibility of some routes due to tree growth, this has become an increasingly unreliable way to plan a run - routes that were popular can now no-longer be navigated.I would propose at least a 12-month rolling filter (a bit like the rolling 90-days for local legend) to ensure that all seasons are captured.

Bonjour,  Je souhaiterais savoir si lors des enregistrement d'activités vélo, Il serait possible de différencie les les segment et effort par type  de vélo,  VTT, GRAVEL,CYCLISTE, VTTE, car les effort et segment sont confondu pour tout type de vélo,  ce qui fait n'es pas très comparable entre un vtt à gros crampons et cycliste sur route ou même vtte ?TRANSLATION: Hello, I would like to know if when recording cycling activities, It would be possible to differentiate the segments and effort by type of bike, MTB, GRAVEL, CYCLIST, MTB, because the effort and segment are combined for all types of bike, which makes it not very comparable between a mountain bike with big studs and a road cyclist or even a mountain bike?

Not paying for a subscription until basic features are fixed

This is not a post for asking for help, but rather to vent my frustration about Strava's lack about basic features:- Why are there no turn-by-turn directions for a pre-planned route either with audio cues or some sort of display on my smartwatch? Or even better: Why not both?-Why does the app on my smartwatch not work in unison with the app on the phone? Meaning, if I start a workout on my phone, why isn't the same workout simultaneously displayed on my smartwatch?- Which brings me to my next point: Why are there no cues for entering and leaving a certain puls zone?-Why is there not a save button at the bottom of the editing page after you finish your workout? You always run the risk of deleting your workout because of it.-Why can't you upload non-GPS workouts from other apps to Strava?-Why can't you turn off GPS for certain activities? For example: It doesn't make sense to have GPS turned on during swimming in a pool since GPS is by far not accurate enough to track your lanes properly

sport_type when uploading

When I'm uploading an activity using a GPX file, I would very much like to set the sport type correctly. Otherwise it seems like a convoluted method just to update that type. For some reason the activity just ends up being a run. Any thoughts?
