Hello,I’m experiencing a recurring synchronization problem between Samsung Health (Galaxy Watch4) and Strava for my outdoor pool swim activities. The activities are fully and correctly recorded in Samsung Health (distance, duration, laps), but when synced to Strava, the data is incomplete or incorrect (missing or very low distance).I have contacted Strava support multiple times, but the responses suggest that pool swims are not properly supported or recommend manual uploads, which is not a viable solution for me.I also tried a third-party app (Health Sync) without success.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are there any workarounds or ways to escalate this technical problem with Strava?Thanks in advance!

On my iPhone SE Gen 2 running the latest iOS I have almost 50 of my own routes created but no way to SEARCH for them when I go to Record > Add Route > Routes.I used to be able to search and add a route by tapping the icon in the top left corner then Routes but this no longer adds the route after tapping Record.

It’s interesting to be able to see an athlete’s Best Efforts on their profile page.  However, if an athlete has had an Activity flagged (usually for inadvertently recording a vehicle journey as a bike ride or run) the spurious data still appears in their Best Efforts.  Surely flagging of an Activity should cause all related Best Efforts to be removed from an athlete's profile ?As an example, here’s a list of someone’s best cycling times that are clearly infeasible (apart from the last one)… 

We run a rewards app based on top of Strava APIHowever we are getting a large number of people faking their Walks, Runs, Cycles using tools like “GPS Joystick” on Android. There are many tools to fake Strava activities, and we are concerned that a rewards app on Strava can be exploited heavily.We would like to suggest that the Strava mobile app has extra security features to detect such apps, and pass a flag through to the API so that consumers can decide what to do with fake dataWe suggest that the Strava mobile app, also includes Cellular network GPS verification, accelerometer sensor verifcation, to verify that the mobile device “was actually moving” when the activity was recorded Kind regards 

I have a feature suggestion inspired by the iPhone Photos app map, which displays photos taken at various locations worldwide. I think a similar interactive map for Strava, showcasing all the locations where a user has completed runs, would be an exciting addition. This could allow users to visually explore their running history, highlight unique routes, and share memorable run locations with the community.Key benefits could include:•  Increased user engagement by visualizing global running patterns.•  Enhanced storytelling through shareable maps of personal running milestones.•  Inspiration for runners to explore new routes based on their past adventures. 

It would be nice to be able to mark specific athletes as VIP so that their activities are the first to show up on my feed.My husband, in particular, always asks me if I have seen his run. Often I cannot find it from the feed so I have to search his name, pull up his activities and search there. If I could mark him as VIP so that I wouldn’t have to search it would be very helpful. Also, it would be helpful for my friends who are running the same races / doing the same training as I am. Thank you! 

Not the most pressing topic in the world, but here it is.  On an iPhone, when you want to exit an app, you swipe up, starting from the bottom of the screen.  So after starting (or looking at an in-progress) Strava ride, a user will swipe up to return to the iPhone home screen.   When a ride is started on the iPhone, the screen shows you the distance traveled and speed , and at the  very bottom there is a large “Pause” button.  Often, in the middle of a ride, while trying to swipe up to return to the home screen, the phone believes that I hit the “Pause” button, since the process of swiping up requires my finger to start right on top of the “Pause” button.  In doing that, the ride is paused and the app is hidden from the screen at the same time, so one does not realize that the ride has been paused.Suggestion:  MOVE the PAUSE button, don’t place it at the bottom of the screen.

Hi can you tell me why when recording a yoga session the Strava timer is not correct . After 30 min yoga it shows about 9 mins 

Apologies if I am asking a question asked many times, When using strava on my android phone you can view how far you have gone simply by pressing the lock screen key, however I can’t get this to work on my Iphone SE, is it possible to get a snapshot of the activity on the lock screen on the Iphone SE - see the attachment of the android phone?  

There is a great feature where you could compare those metrics (Speed, HR, power) of all selected athletes for each second by sliding through the timeline.Approx. 2 weeks ago I noticed that this is brokwen so that the figures only update for reference athlete (the on on top of the selected list) while for all others it is stuck at one figure (average on the segment, I think)Please fix this. This is really annoying and takes away a huge value in comparisson analyses.

Hi, I (and many others) used to love Strava mainly because we could easily use your excellent heatmaps in high resolution (i.e in the highest levels beyond 15) in external tools that we use to plan hiking or backpacking trips, i.e. CalTopo, Gaia, etc.But a few months ago, you changed that. You broke everything, and everyone with a bit of technical understanding and the ability to read through GitHub and OSM forums knows what changed. It's clear and obvious that you want to keep users on your own platform and make them pay. But things like this just scream "infinite corporate greed". It's such a shame that you did this. Strava is shooting itself in the foot. People will not change their route planning tools they've used for years and suddenly switch over to the Strava route planner - which is inferior in so many ways.Here's an idea for your product management: why don't you charge separately for external access to your highest-resolution global heatmaps? Something like $25 a year, ONLY

Is it possible that Strava sends out authorize:false event several days AFTER revoking? Or maybe is repeating that webhook event? I had a case I revoked on my test user, then connected again. All worked as expected and then after a week I am receiving authorize:false again and my user is deauthorized!Is it possible? That case happened for two users and both events was send in the same batch from Strava and processed together within my 2 minutes interval.I have checked my security flow and I am sure there is no way for someone else to push such event to my app.

The app is the best. But something from the adidas running app (former runtastic) is still unmatched in my opinion. It is the easy view of all activities of a given period. As showed on the captures joined. We can easily see all the activities and the total mileage of a period. Month. Week. Year. I would love to have that as it is quite complicated to find a past activity or a past résumé of a period on strava.   What do you think about this ?  Thanks 

Few days ago,I still use the normal strava map when cycling but when the application updates itself, the map in the record and map turns white and I can't see anything. When the journey ends, the map appears. I don't use duckduckgo but the map stillshows white. I'm using a j7 prime device. 

After running a long distance of 40 km, I tried importing the data into Strava, but the app keeps crashing. Importing works fine for 10 km runs or swimming data, but only the 40 km activity can’t be imported—the app crashes every time. I even tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but the same issue occurs. What could be the problem?

Hi there, I have done an interval training indoors using a Body Bike which I connected to my Garmin Edge 840. I have Garmin Connect connected to Strava so the activity is uploaded there automatically. I was wearing a garmin heart rate monitor and the heart rate data of the activity was stored and visible in both Garmin Connect and Strava. However, Strava does not calculate the relative effort for this activity. It is 0. Because I cycled indoor, the distance is 0.03 km (it is basically drift of the GPS). My Android customers (of the CrewNerd app) have been reporting a variety of mysterious errors when uploading workouts to Strava. There were timeouts, sockets closing abruptly, and protocol errors all happening randomly. But there were no reports of problems from my iPhone users.After much experimentation, it looks like the problems (which only started a couple of weeks ago) are related somehow to HTTP2. If I force my Android code to use HTTP1.1, there are no problems.Bottom line - I think Strava introduced a regression recently in their HTTP2 support.

During my activity today i crossed a tunnel and the GPS had issues with location, and that is affecting segments, as they appeared as excluded. Any possibility of fix? I tried to fix distance and refresh achievements but didnt work.thanks,joao

I have added a pair of running shows to my profile which already had 160km. But Strava starts counting at 0 and does not allow me to specify or edit the distance.The same feature on Runna works just fine. 

Using an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and an iPhone 15 Pro. All of my workouts done on the Apple Watch are saved in Apple Health and push to Strava just fine with all metrics and maps syncing to Strava.EXCEPT FOR SNOWBOARDING.With Snowboarding, I only see the total mileage. That’s it. The number of runs don’t sync and the maps don’t sync. I can see that the number of runs and the maps are saved in the Fitness app on my iPhone and Apple Health.I’ve double and triple checked the permissions between Apple Health and Strava. I’ve turned off all sync permissions between the two and restarted. I’ve stood on my head and held out my tongue…. (well maybe I never did that).And nothing changes. Maps and number of runs don’t push from Apple Health to Strava.Is this a bug? Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to rectify this?

I am suscribed to Strava premium and I have some issues that I can’t find answers to. I am missing some features:1) Strava doesnt feature the map/route of what i readmy best efforts are not updated at all I have no idea where. Anyone have any suggestions? I cant find anything in a FAQ and cant find a strava live support

Several of my Android customers (of the CrewNerd app) have reported persistent timeout errors when attempting to upload activities. I haven’t been able to reproduce the problem, but I made a beta release with longer connection timeouts on the client side, but this hasn’t resolved the problem. Now, one of the beta users is getting an outright connection failure showing an IPv6-style address.Is something weird going on with the Strava API?

I found it strange that Strava Activities are always a bit shorter than what my watch says.And I know for a fact that my watch is correct, because when doing races, it is always spot on with the official times.Let’s focus on my last activity. If I open it on strava and ask to create a route from my activity, this is what I get: At the bottom, it says 7.1Km, which is EXACTLY what my watch recorded for that route.But if I look at the Activity map, it’s like I a taking shortcuts that are not possible, as it goes straight where the road curves: The resut is 90m difference on a 7100m route: This is sufficient to lower my pace by a few seconds, on this case, 5.04 to 5.07 and sometimes makes me miss, for example, the 10K badge, when running on a certified 10K route (it’s marked on the road...). I have seen mention to a “correct distance” option on the website, if I click the three dots on the left menu, after opening the activity, but I have no such option, I am guessing it was removed?
