I've paid to have no ads - so why does Strava Shop keep popping up on my home page in the app?

I noticed this a few weeks ago and wasn’t sure if it was just me, but here it is: Strava is showing the moving time as the “headline” time for a RACE. The elapsed time is tiny and only visible if you look for it. As one of the people who desperately wants the “let us choose elapsed time as our default” feature, this is disturbing, because the “workaround” was to set runs and trail runs as races to force the display to elapsed time, but not even that isn’t working!Here’s a screen shot from a pro athlete who just won a race, setting a course record, and their moving time is what shows prominently on the activity overview page: https://www.strava.com/activities/16603682047/overviewNot cool, Strava!

https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/360049869011-Map-Types Seriously. What is the point of the time map included in the subscribers map options? If this is simply elapsed time, then it will always be the same and relatively pointless. Maybe there's more to it than I understand?

I’m a runner based in Seoul, and I also work in the IT/data field.After running for about 3 years, I started wondering…Since Strava already has all my data, shouldn’t it be possible to understand what kind of runner I actually am, not just look at numbers?So I began digging into my own data.I broke the GPX into segments, combined pace/elevation/heart rate, looked for points where my pace dropped…And since the analysis started getting complicated, I asked AI to interpret the patterns.Surprisingly, it gave me some meaningful insights.For example: HR spikes right after an uphill → pace collapse shortly after Starting too fast → inevitable crash in the second half Wind/temperature affect performance more than expected My average pace is okay, but my stability is terrible (lol) It turned into a full side project, and now I’m analyzing my fr

I created a route, downloaded it for offline use. When I arrived at my location, there was no mobile signal so I put my device in airplane mode. I retrieved the saved route, and selected start route. The app started recording. There was an orange line, indicating my route. All good. I push the power button on my phone to turn off my screen to save battery. At my first intersection, I pushed the power button to turn my screen on, and I watch the orange line disappear. To get it back I need to press the back button on my phone to return to the previous screen in the app, then choose “Start Route” again. The orange line is back. I then turn off my screen again, and when I turn it back on, poof, orange line gone again. I go back to the previous screen in app, select “Start Route”, and orange line is back. I turn off my screen, and...repeat, repeat, repeat, for 13 miles of my hike.

The new maps showed in the activity overview are so ugly! And you can't even see if you are running in the woods, it all looks like running in a city environment. Worst update ever!

I’ve been a paying subscriber for over 7 years and log activities on a nearly daily basis. In the last 10 days or so, my account has been unable to copy routes, create routes, see top segment times below #10… or any of the features that come with a paid plan. I have clicked on the “Upgrade Now” button and the result from the next screen says: “You are already a subscriber” and returns me back to the prior page still unable to access or create anything I wanted.I have even checked on my iPhone subscription summary and my Strava app is “paid through Feb 2026”.So what’s the deal? I’m planning a trip in a couple weeks and need to map some rides. The sooner the better too.

The recently updated base map almost completely does away with any indication of topography. Instead a flat, green, and boring map is underneath an even less detailed activity outline. Bring back the old base map please.

I am using Strava on my Android phone to track my runs. It seems like the moving time is sometimes reduced when I save the activity. On the result screen before saving the activity everything seems to be correct, but after it is saved, the moving time is sometimes reduced a lot as well as the times per kilometer. The elapsed time however seems to be realistic.In the situations when I faced that behaviour, I had paused the activity during the run for a longer time. It seems like the moving time is reduced by the difference between moving time and elapsed time when the activity is stored. And the elapsed time is set to the real moving time.Unfortunately I don’t have screenshots from the activity before saving it right now, but I will try to produce some if this helps.Currently I can only provide screenshots from the data that is shown after I saved the activity. There I can see that the times per kilometer are completely unrealistic. At this run I was really slow

On android, every time I go to the home tab it asks me to accept the updated terms and services policy. I have accepted it dozens of times but it continues to pop up. Anyone have a fix?Thanks 

I’ve noticed a change in how Strava calculates calories when switching between bikes. Earlier, when I changed my bike selection (e.g., from my Scott Aspect 970 to my Cannondale Optimo), the calorie count used to update based on the bike and its weight. However, now when I switch bikes, the calorie calculation remains the same, regardless of the bike chosen. Could you please clarify if there has been a change in how Strava factors bike weight or type into calorie estimates? I’d like to understand if there’s a way to make calorie calculations more accurate when using different bikes. Thank you for your help! —Abner John 

hello All, I’m a starting runner and still try to build my conditions. the distances I run are rather on the short side (3-4 km).since this week I started with a kind of interval training. I was alternating 1km runs with 0.5 km walks. my sports watch is logging this as one activity (a running activity). once it is uploaded to strava, I can see it as one activity and immediately got a badge for “longest run”. Since I was not running the full distance, this feels a little bit unfair and ofcourse also not “motivating” to try afterwards to break my “personal longest distance”. so I can break down the activity in run and walk parts. but this leaves me with a lot of activities what let also explode my “activities / week”. (which is also not fair). Are there other possibilities I overlook? anybody any suggestion how he/she is logging interval training (run/walk)many thanks

This new map is way less informative about the elevation/terrain profile of an area than the previous one. This is bad for route making, segment finding, and ride analysis. Please share this so Strava will do something about it.

Iphone language danish. Written text in Strava app is danish. All good there - I am danish !The text in the Strava app for the artificial voice still seem to be in english. So english words pronounced by a danish speaking artificial voice. Example: "Nine" is a number in english text. When pronounced in english it sounds correct (najn), but "nine" pronounced with a danish speaking voice is "nee-ne". It is neither english nor danish and as such not understandable. So: When IOS is danish, the written text in Strava app is also danish. The artificial voice tries to speak danish, but is clearly served an english string of words to be pronounced with a fat danish accent. Not good !  

I noticed that after the update on November 26, the map display on the mobile app changed. The new map style looks quite cluttered, and the landmark labels appear very large, which makes the map harder to read.Could Strava please consider reverting to the previous map style or reducing the label size? The old version was much clearer and easier to use. 

Currently, I have 12 activities stuck on my Apple watch as unsynced that are not showing up on my Strava. Please help! I have closed the Strava app on both my apple watch and iPhone, restarted both my apple watch and iPhone, and made sure I have wifi and that they are connected to Bluetooth but no luck. I am not sure what else to do.  

I'm absolutely dissatisfied about the recent change from Mapbox (worked well!) to OpenMapTiles (absolutely worthless). Why Strava has changed this? Now, highway junctions are mentioned, as wel as highway ramps. Not a single sporter will be interested in highways. Them maps are showing much more irrelevant information now. It's a pity... is this meant to be?

I have unwanted followers, when i block and remove them from the follower page, they still appear, then when i tried removing again, when i tapped on their profile, it said there was a server error 

Since several weeks the activity feed is empty. I Use Google Chrome on Windows 10. Unnecessary cookies are blocked (obviously). The problem started with the latest bombardment of messages to try to sell me a paid membership. Then I only saw the advertisement, Nowadays I get an empty screen if I click on 'activity feed'. All other submenus work.Logging out and logging in again doesn't help.On my Anroid app the activity geed is shown but I prefer working with a PC.

Our week starts on Sunday, and my monthly running diary, every week starts on Monday and it's hard to understand how many days I'd ran every week and which week... is there a way to change it? In Garmin, as I remember, I can choose the starting day of the week..Thank you!

I just ran a PR, and it shows the correct distance and time but has chosen not to recognize it as a best effort at all. I ran a half mile at 2:45 and my old pr was 2:49, but its not showing as a best effort or a PR.some1 help (dont judge my times btw im a freshman.  

When rowing on my Concept 2, I notice that the distance recorded in Strava is often less than the distance actually rowed. For example, yesterday I set the distance on my ErgData application to row a 2000m warm-up. When the Concept machine (and the ErgData application) indicate that the row is complete, and stop recording, I continue rowing a few seconds, in case there is a delay in the distance being recorded somewhere. When I then check the Concept machine, ErgData and Garmin, they all show the correct distance of 2000m. But, Strava shows 1999m. This discrepancy increases for longer distances rowed.What is the solution to get Strava to record the correct distance?Thanks.
