Strava Features Chat

The search function in “My Activities” is worthless. I put in a town/city name and it returns lots of rides that don’t have that town/city name in the title or the ride even when through that town, and more often than not doesn’t find rides that DO have that town/city name in them.   

In my training zone, it will display at what time my recent training heart rate is (the last week, one month, three months). However, after I updated my heart rate zone in the upper right corner, the corresponding time has not changed and remains the same as before

Is it possible to revert to the previous sharing layout? The new one is too disproportionate, at least an option to choose the font size would be useful. I've been taking screenshots instead of using the share option. NEW LAYOUT OLD LAYOUT 

Hi, I haven’t found any similar bug report so I hope I’m not reporting something already known. For a few weeks (since I upgraded to the latest release of strava in July’25 I believe) it has become impossible to follow a route (Mountain Bike). I can upload my route and start following/recording but after some time the recording starts lagging more and more behind my actual position and eventually the app displays an error message and reinitializes, losing all the positions since the point between the latest recorded position and my actual position, and stopping displaying the route. Then the problem occurs again every 5 to 10 minutes, and each time I have to reload the route.I have tried everything I could : reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone before using the app, closing/deactivating other apps to make sure only strava was running, but nothing seems to fix the problem. However I have tried using in parallel another app like outdooractive or openrunner for route follow

Currently Strava provides the following stats about each segment: distance, elevation, and grade.The problem is that these stats are only valid if a segment is a straight uphill or straight downhill.But if a segment has both uphill and downhill parts the stats can be wrong or even outright misleading.Here a good example. The segment below takes one of the steepest trails uphill to the top of a popular local summit, then goes down on another equally steep trail, then turns around and ascends the second trail, then goes down on the first trail.The segment description shows the grade as 0%, which couldn't be further from truth. It also shows the elevation incorrectly as 2035 ft. In fact this segment has about twice the elevation gain and the average grade is closer to 25%. So not only this segment stats don't provide correct information about the segment but also it won't likely come back in a search as a hilly segment. 

When I update my pace through the cropping feature I can only share my old inaccurate pace. I would like to be able to post the updated cropped time. Please help.

There’s some useful data that Apple Health now supports, but that Strava doesn’t upload: Heart ratePowerCadenceGPS route/mapIs there a feature request open to get these fields added to the Apple Health upload from Strava rides?Also, is the opposite planned? To import the power & cadence from my Apple Watch cycling workouts (now that watchOS 10 supports power & cadence) when I add these to Strava.

In strava's new training zone feature, I try to click on the pen button in the upper right corner. Modify my maximum heart rate and heart rate interval, modify click OK, the software shows that the interval has been modified, but the actual did not change. The same is true of trying many times  

Since several days, the sharing function is not working properly.The app modify the size and ratio of the original pictures, uploaded, when sharing pictures.All the pictures are sharing in a portrait format even if the original format is landscape or square.As I’ve paid a subscription for that app, i’m not satisfied because i can’t share to my friends and my family all my activities with distance and speed on the picture with the good format ?Is there a way to modify the format of the mixité shared or when are going to fix the issue ?

Without my knowledge, I've been added to strava premium and can't cancel. On the app it says it'll renew in a month and I'll have to pay unless I cancel on the website but on the website it says they won't bill me?I don't want premium so I'd rather just cancel and be done with this fuss

Hi,yesterday I bought family subscribtion for me, my girlfriend and my family. But I was unable to add them. I am from Slovakia, but i work in Austria, so I am using Strava in both countries. I was searching using the activity search on the web interface for some of my activities on the Goat Creek trail that I sometime use a ‘🐐’ character in the description of and I wasn’t finding anything.I tried on the android client instead and the search worked as expected.Looking further on the web version I noted that search for a ‘🐑’ instead turned up the one of the several activities I had with a ‘👻’ character in its title.I suspect the web search has an issue with byte conversion or/and utf-16 surrogate clipping of some kind...

It would be nice to have more options about what to show in the main feed in the activity highlight. For example: if I go on a run that has on average 101ft per mile run of elevation gain, the total elevation gain of the run shows in the feed highlight, otherwise it does not. Having more granular control over what is shown by default for each activity type would be nice.  Right now it seems determined by activity tagging, for example, indoor cycling vs ride.  For indoor cycling the power is shown in the feed, otherwise you have to drill down. There is no way to know these rules without experimentation and no way to control them right now. Also I've noticed recently some activities are not showing the total moving duration unless you drill down into the specific details, even with no segments or achievements.

Why sometimes, when you create a segment,you get a leaderboard, but if you slightly edit it afterwards you get no leaderboard? i undretsand there might need some time to be updates, but in few segments, noone was ever added after i edited it, although there were around 12 peopl in it when i firstly created it.

Some of the segments i ve created, do not appear on the map. While others, do appear. I have everything public, no spots hidden from the map. all permissions are checked. 

I’d like to incorporate the Global Heatmap data into recreation and conservation planning efforts in USA.  Is this possible?  Is there someone I could speak with to discuss it?

Please get rid of the strava features, challenges and adverts from the homepage.  I don't need to see these, I want to see what everyone else is doing, not what challenges there are. At least make these optional or in a drop down box or something.  I will not renew my subscription if these remain. 

Hey all, I used to love sharing my activity map with the “Save Image” feature on the app.Now when I do that the title and activity stats are considerably bigger than before and often cover up the name of the city. I can save a transparent version of the stats that would allow me to make them smaller but unfortunaley I can’t save the map on its own. Any idea’s appreciated, I wish Strava had never changed from the old smaller title. It was perfect. Thanks

Hello,I completed a bike ride of 100.1 km, and when I finished the route, I shortened it by 0.1 km. But when the route updated, it now only shows 55.97 km. I lost half of my ride and I can’t manage to recover it. What should I do? Could we restore the original route? Is this an option available in the paid version?Thank you.Eric.

Receive the option to use a new screen / interface to record an activity this morning. Wanted to share some early feedback. (iPhone app user, UK based.)Positives:Great to see the time & distance on the map screen. No more switching between screens to know how far I’ve travelled while following a route. This is a huge improvement and outweighs all the other items below. Thank you! Good to have an easily visible option to add a route at the start of my ride.Negatives:Strange to see ~20% of the bottom of the screen permanently occupied with a huge Pause button and a Send Beacon Text option. I don’t want to pause while I’m moving. In fact, I definitely don’t want to accidentally pause while I’m trying to use a map feature on the move. Is there any way to make the Pause option only appear when I’m standing still? Or at least make it smaller? Send Beacon Text is a great option but I don’t need to see it permanently. If I ch

I’m getting political club info in my feed (cycle for this politician or that one) and I’d really like an option to block these. I like Strava for data and motivation, not more hate-messaging. There’s enough of that in every other app. 

I had an active streak of 59 weeks. I have uploaded an activity - but the streak did not change to active (having the flame turn to orange).In this support article I read that every activity during a week (starting Monday, ending Sunday) should count towards the streak. I can confirm that all of my activities have been 60 seconds or longer. Everything was working fine earlier today. I was able to “like” comments under my posts, but when I tried later I got the message, “Something is wrong, please try later.”I also noticed that after I give Kudos and refresh my app, those kudos have disappeared.I can still comment on posts, but I can’t like any responses.I’ve logged out, reinstalled, etc.  

Why can't I create segments shorter than 500 meters for cycling and shorter than 300 meters for running, even though I have a subscription, when I've seen shorter segments on Strava?For example this running segment is only 280 meters long: https://www.strava.com/segments/19339033
