Strava Features Chat

How do I find instant workouts on my android strava app.  My husband has it on the top of his home feed (apple phone) but mine doesnt seem to have that feature on either the app or if I log in on the computer. 

I somehow clicked okay to move to use of a one-time password to log in, but it is less convenient and requires more steps.   how do I switch back?  There is no longer an option to change password in settings, only change email -- and I want to keep the same email.Thanks

Management: If an activity has been flagged, it should be removed from "best efforts" on the member's profile page... one would think! But it's not, here's an example: https://www.strava.com/activities/1647252235/overview The guy almost certainly recorded an airplane ride as a bike ride and uploaded it. I like doing long exploratory rides….  the biggest challenge i have is mapping routes, particularly when the area is not familiar. For example. right now I want to create a route between two specific locations, i have never been there and its about 100 miles apart. So getting lost is a huge possibility, and when doing long rides…  a small mistake can cost hours.  It would be great if there was a feature where i put in location a, and enter location b)  enter the type of terrain, gravel, road, cycle path etc… and bike type road, gravel, mtb etc…. and it creates a route for me, as close as possible to the terrain / bike type, using say heatmaps for popularity, which i can use on my bike computer. 

There is a new bug associated with a recent app update: When you visit a Club Event in the app, links are no longer clickable or highlighted.  EVEN WORSE: You cannot highlight text, which would at least allow you to copy-and-paste the link into a mobile browser.  To summarize:  Event description links cannot be clicked, whether they are links within Strava or internet links!  The text of Event Posts cannot be highlighted or copied.  The Event text is effectively an image of text that cannot be interacted with in any meaningful way.    *** THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE FOR CLUBS ***We need people to be able to click the link to sign liability waivers We need people to be able to access our website, so they can review our ride guidelines We need to people to access map links, so they know where to… gather at the start, park their cars, or where the end-of-ride meetup is going to take place.[Side note:  I do

Hi, A recent activity, ride, is not appearing as usual on club leader boards. I’m a long term user & have not had this issue previously. I have tried changing the activity type then changing back with no success. Any advice welcome.Thanks

The Relative Effort screen currently shows no more than the weeks first 8 activities. There should be no limit.

I started using Strava for recording rides and leaderboard features, but I’ve stayed for the route planner, frequently telling people how great it is compared to RidewithGPS and Komoot, largely for the heat map but also just for the general flexibility and resilience: base map doesn’t recognise a trail or track? No worries, just switch to manual.However in recent months it has just gotten worse and worse, to the point where I’m now plotting in RidewithGPS and only still using Strava because I’m too lazy to synch RidewithGPS with my Garmin.Issue 1: I have to use manual mode more and more, on large sections of trail which e.g. RidewithGPS will snap to. These are typically very minor singletracks but in my experience these are some of the best trails and a total pain to plot manually.Issue 2: I’m now having to use manual mode even on some roads and tracks which Strava used to snap to! When I go to share my activity it doesn't give me the option to share a transparent clip of my stats, it only shows a link URL. I've tried removing my privacy restrictions, reinstalling etc but not joy. Any advice?

   All, is this some kind of bug? Heart rate font colour is in black (same as background) and not visible since last update. Visible when in auto pause and the background colour changes in yellow 🙄.

Hey all,I have been trying to get this figured out and I am stumped.  My emergency contact accidentally responded "off" to the automated Strava Beacon text and now they are no longer receiving my strava beacons when I head out for a run.  Anyone else dealt with this?  Do you have any ideas on how to reenable the strava beacon texts? I use a garmin and have had no previous issues.Thanks!

Waarom kan ik mijn hartslag niet zien als ik mijn activiteiten upload? Deze wordt nochtans gemeten via mijn Garmin die weldegelijk verbonden is met mijn Strava. Bij de verborgen details zijn deze ook niet te zien. Ik kon ergens ook kiezen om al mijn vorige activiteiten aantepassen, maar dat heeft niets veranderd. Kan iemand mij helpen? 

When I'm following a saved and downloaded route on Strava, the route disappears every time my phone screen locks.  When I load up the screen the saved route has disappeared.  I have to back tab and restart route every time.  This is very frustrating when trying to follow a route.  It's even more frustrating noting this problem has been going on for months and hasn't been fixed by Strava update.  STRAVA - WHEN WILL THIS BUG BE FIXED?

Hi. Earlier stratva app use to.work in my galaxy watch. Now a days i am getting message which says gettining gps fix. So i am not able to record maps details if I use this. Now when I use samsunh heatl app from mobile ot doesnt upload details in starva. Auto walk etc are uploaded. When i use samsung health run app from mobile ot uploads in strava. Why it is like this. And for getting gps fixed i have tried eveeything its not working. Reset, re install, permissions all are given

Is there a reason why indoor rides on zwift or rouvy do not appear to have much, if any impact on the fitness score?  When I do an outdoor ride my score usually increases by 1-2 points but never changes after an indoor ride.  I have power and heart tracking when riding indoor so not sure why it doesn't seem to change my fitness score?

This was from today in the morning. I was just going around a normal oval shaped small track i think its like 1/8th of a mile per full rotation. Idk whats going on and why it did that mess. Its on the second floor of a gym maybe thats why? Is it okay for me to put my phone in my pocket while strava runs? Should i put the location to always on? I also have an apple watch so this makes it even weirder since it should be more accurate. I redownloaded the app and ill be seeing if the same issue happens again tmrw.

Using DaFit app to export data to Strava but it seems that every time there is a difference of 3 hours in the time of the activity (if the workout was done at 3pm, it shows 6pm on strava when exported). Also, sometimes the the distance on strava is almost double of what it is on the app (with the start and end point tied up together somehow)How to fix this?

I've been using Outdooractive (formerly ViewRanger) for several years now. I decided to sign up for Strava to check it out. It looks like it might be a better option for what I need but I'm having a little problem moving over data.I exported all my "tracks" from Outdooractive to GPX files as well as FIT files. This was a pain to do one by one, but it's done. However, when I try to import them into Strava, it doesn't bring over the title for each, which is pretty important to me. If I open one of the GPX files in Notepad++, it correctly shows the name of the track within the <name> and </name> element tags that are within the <trk> and </trk>. But it doesn't bring them over into Strava's activity for the title - instead, it just defaults to things like "Afternoon Run."Is that expected behavior? I don't want to manually have to change all of these in Strava. Can I make changes to the GPX files before importing them into Strava so it'll carry

Training load has decreased by 7 points overnight and my activity from the weekend is now showing less than at the time of upload. Paying for a premium subscription and wouldn’t expect this to happen. Please advise Strava.

My main activity is cycling. This is just a suggestion relating to the badges you give out. I like the badges - especially the monthly distance riding badges. I am not an elite athlete, nor do I regularly ride more than 30 miles in one go, so I only set out to achieve the 200k per month badge. Recently I have managed to attain the 200k badge for 12 months straight, having not been able to achieve it previously due to illness/injury, which I think is a great achievement in its own right. Why don't you give Badges for recognising 'perseverance and dedication'? No matter what distances people may set as their targets, if they achieve their target for 12 months straight, then that deserves some recognition. You don't need to stop at 12 months, what about 2 years, or 3. 5 years straight without missing a month would be tremendous for anyone, no matter what level they are at. Please give it some thought.
