Commute being the only tag for swimming is a daft and long-standing Strava oversight. As per questions and comments dating back two years, commute is the least likely option for a swim, but it's the only option in Android. Surely this is an easy fix?Come on Strava developers - swim to work and get this sorted! 🙏

Strava fitness score jumps up big % when I go for a long bike ride. Would love to see Pogacar (or other pros) fitness graph right now during the tour.. Please reply Tadej 😉 

Hi, My Fitbit Versa 4 is no longer syncing automatically to Strava after runs. All permissions are on and linked, been like it since start of Jan 2025. The GPS function is also on the watch too. So annoying, was thinking of taking out a subscription too, not gonna happen now! 😂

I upgraded an account I don't use. Can I close the account and transfer the subscription to the account I actually use? Thanks 

Hi I am using Garmin Fenix 7 to track all my rides. Most of them are training sessions for road and MTB cycling. Some of them are commuting rides. I have 4 gears logged in Strava and each gear is supposed to be for a different "sport". I would like to set Commute ride as default for specific gear. Because in Garmin I have an option Bike commute, but after recording in Strava it's just a normal ride with different gear than supposed to be.I would like to make my gear related just to commute ride. Do you know if its possible?I am feeling like I already tried everything and in default sports there is no option with Commute.Thank you very much.

Hi Strava team and community,I’m reaching out with a question and suggestion regarding e-MTB ride classifications.As an owner of a Class 1 e-MTB, I’ve noticed that performance comparisons and segment rankings feel a bit skewed. Class 1 bikes (pedal assist only, up to 20 mph) simply don’t have the same capabilities as Class 2, 3, or 4 e-MTBs, which can include throttle assist and higher speed limits.Because of this, riders on higher-class e-MTBs naturally have an advantage on speed-based segments. It would be much more equitable—and encouraging—for those of us on Class 1 e-MTBs to have separate leaderboards or filtered comparisons based on bike class.Is Strava considering breaking out the different e-MTB classifications in activities and rankings? It would really help level the playing field and create a more fair and meaningful experience for all types of e-MTB riders.Thanks for all the great work

I'd like to request a refund for a subscription that was automatically deducted from my account.

I recently opened a chat about my best efforts not updating on runs. I’ve tried to refresh segments, change activity from ride back to run and also used the “correct distance” but nothing is working. I,ve attached a picture of my activity as an example. Even though there is barely a minute in the time, it should still show as a Best Effort. Also today I did a 10 km run and it said I did a PR but it was slower than my last 10km. It was my longest run but that isn’t showing in my best efforts. I know some comments have said that elapsed time is considered with PRs?? Even taking that into consideration, my best efforts times don’t reflect that and I’m sure that when it says you’ve done a PR then in fact, that should be your best time. How can you effectively train to get better if the times/PRs are wrong. Frustrated with Strava...it’s my no 1 training tool and I don’t feel like any of the times are accurate!

Currently, when I enter Strava via an app notification, I then see a notification badge / counter on the Notification Centre icon. This is actually the same notification that I’ve just clicked into, but it’s not marked as read.Ideally, this notification would be marked as read as I’ve clicked into it. It would stop me having to actively click into the Strava Notification Centre just to mark notifications as read.

Every time I open the app the UI design gets worse and worse. Please can they stop complicating it.Also what is up with these new shield icons - it’s actually terrible. 

I just finished a mountain bike ride at a bike park.First I wish Strava had a bike park option so ot didn't record the lift time.  They do for skiing why not MTB's?So this Athlete Intelligence tells me about my epic day and setting records on my climbs. Hey Strava bros. Your AI isn't very intelligent if it can't tell the difference between a bicycle and gondola. Please stop wasting the precious little engineering time on this AI crap and spend it on improving the app. Like maybe giving us MTB bike park as an activity option. 

I don’t know if I am posting in the right place to get help. I used my Strava today for a bike ride and I noticed Strava added a big orange pause button. I’ve seen an issue happen before with the MapMyRide app on my phone when they used  to have a big orange pause button. I ended up with a big button burned on my phone glass. My phone wasn’t even a year old when it happen. I think it mostly happens from the reflection of the sun hitting the colored button and then reflecting on the glass when riding for prolonged periods of time. MapMyRide switched to a black and smaller button and I never saw an issue with it again but, the old larger button is still burned on my old screen. Please look into what I am saying and do something about it if you see what I am saying could happen. I would hate for everyone to get a BIG pause button burned into their phone glass. I am trying to help prevent that from happening by bring it to Strava’s attention. 

I‘ve tracked more than 500 rides with my Wahoo Elemnt Bolt and synced them on Strava. I noticed that some activities I tracked long time ago are not displayed anymore in the Strava activity section. I did not delete them. Whereas all rides are still counted in the personal statistics, the number of total kilometers is incorrect. ~4000 km are missing. My aim is to restore the complete track record.I could add rides summing up 4000 km manually in order to correct total kilometers, however the problem is not the number of rides (which is correct) but the missing kilometers.  Does anyone have an idea what causes this issue and knows how it can be resolved?

I'm catching flack from Motorcyclists when I ask them to (please) not use the E-bike Category to record their rides. When I look at segments and totals for my ride they are blown out by motorcyclists results. How are we supposed to compare like categories when users are in the wrong category. As an Enduro Race Timer by trade, I fully understand the difference between all of the different users, categories and the abilities of each. The general response to my requests has been that Ebikes ARE Motorcycles. I can't even begin to explain all of the reasons Ebikes do not equal a Moto.  All I'm asking is that the Moto riders out there find and use an appropriate app for recording Moto Sports. Sure, STRAVA, add it in PLEASE! EMTB'ers just want an equal playing field.  

I read in ... that there was a "known issue" with Android maps, but seriously, is this still going on? Or have I missed an update? If I click in to the map on a "longer" activity, all I see is a white background. My 30km ride the other day is fine, but the 600km audax I rode this weekend just doesn't show the map.Come on Strava, fix it please! Not much point paying for the features if they don't work!

Hi all, Reported this to Strava a couple of weeks ago and had no response… so thought I’d try here. Recently, when I record a Weight Training or Workout activity using my Apple Watch, during the session Strava will close randomly and sometimes restart the timer back to the beginning or at least knock a few minutes off. However, when I save the session, most of the time it records the full session (other times knocks a few minutes off). Anyone else experiencing this issue?  UPDATE FROM STRAVA:Hello all! We’re happy to share that this issue has now been resolved in the latest app update. Hi all, I would some suggestions on how to get actual help from Strava Support. I’m currently stuck with a cancelled subscription, and I am wanting to subscribe to the Runna + Strava bundle.  This journey so far has been harder than training for a marathon. I am now into week 4 of attempting to subscribe to the bundle. Here’s the run of events. Week 11. See the new bundle, attempt to subscribe. Says I can’t due to subscribing through Google Play.2. Read FAQ on Strava website. It suggests to cancel my plan to get the bundle. I do this.3. Once cancelled, I attempt to buy the bundle, but now I can’t resubscribe. 4. Enter Support Ticket #1 - No responses at allWeek 25. Support Ticket #2 - Automated response right after it was created6. (2 days later) Support Ticket #2 - New textbook response with links to the FAQ page that told me to cancel so I could get itWee

Bug since the last few days. Tried restarting the app, clearing data, and reinstalling. Android. Click a profile then try clicking any pictures including the button saying 'All Media '.

Does anyone have the problem with map visibility in app? When I zoom out, the map is looking like in the fog and cannot see whole activity on the map 

Hello. I wonder if anyone else has successfully had their profile restored? Or had the same issue? I changed phone handsets (iPhone 11 to 16 pro) and around the same time had a temporary network issue. My apps including Strava had all transferred over, I’d connected my Garmin watch to my new handset, and synced the Garmin and Strava apps on my new phone. The network issue was sorted, my old phone traded in and wiped, went back into Strava on my new phone- and my profile is now gone. Same login, but no profile photo, no activities, following no one, no photos- but randomly 5 followers. Nothing else. Have contacted Strava who send automated replies with links to suggestions such as restoring deleted activities. There are none to restore- no suggestions work. I would really like my entire profile including all my contacts (65 or so). Is it fixable? Can Strava restore my profile in full from their server? Are there any other solutions. I'm new here, a vintage roadie (both me and most of my 10+ bikes). I've been using Strava for four or five years, mostly to track my yearly mileage.I'm interested in downloading my activity through the API. I know about the bulk export feature and have used it, but will be looking for something more real-time.
