Strava Features Chat

I had an issue with my watch syncing with my phone/the app for the past couple of months, and now am trying to port all of my activities over. I’ve uploaded the majority of them, but now with only 6 left to go, it’s giving me an error message saying “You've exceeded the maximum number of uploads. Please try again later.” According to the chat bot, the only limit is that you can’t upload more than 15 at a given time, but there’s no limit to how many you can upload in a given day… Based on this recurring error message though, I’m not so sure.Does anyone know how long I have to wait to upload the rest? Or if there’s anything else I need to do?

Just some general feedback- I'm sure many love the increased monthly walk challenge- I see it bumped up from 30k to 50k starting in 2025. Unfortunately, as a busy pregnant mom of a toddler I'm finding this change to have really hurt my momentum. The 30k was perfect for me to get in each month, it was challenging to hit, and kept me motivated to try and get steps in each month because some health issues have prevented me from running pregnant. The 50k goal is just not going to be attainable for someone who was not always able to make the 30k goal. I wish Strava had not removed the 30k option- it was a good distance. Why not have both? I really miss having this- it kept me engaged all thru my first pregnancy. :(

Is the flag feature functional for e-bike activities. Am I wasting my time trying to clean up e-bike leaderboards?

Since the past couple of weeks when I click on the map of an activity, I see the GPS track but the background map is just about empty. I used to get a proper map with paths, roads etc. that I could zoom in and out. What's supposed to pass as a map now is pretty useless. Anyone have an idea what changed?

I’m unable to see certain friends’ 2025 YTD data in both the iOS app and the web browser. If I choose previous years from the pulldown on the web app, the data is available, but not 2025. Here’s a screenshot from the web app with my friend’s missing data on the left. I can see his daily activities, just not his YTD stats  

I just realized that although you can opt for “Trail Run” as an activity type before you record in Strava, there doesn’t seem to be any way to retroactively change a regular run to a trail run using the “Edit Activity” feature. All my activities are automatically created by my Garmin, which logs them as regular runs. Is there a workaround so that I can save them as trail runs (and, ideally, change some of the archived runs, when appropriate)?

I've entered weight, entered all My Gear information, chosen Ride as activity but still not showing calories burned, why? 

I saw on the 5k runner that Strava has “exited” South Korea. No official announcement? What does this mean for users and of course, our oh so recently increased subscriber fees?

I have been sharing my runs with a landscape image overlaid with my run data. However, recently Strava now crops the image to long 16:9 portrait image, irrespective of the original image format. I have not changed how I share, both by directly sharing to the social media platform or by saving as an image.So when I am about to share, all looks ok like this; Then when I actually share to any platform or hit ‘more’ and save image, it comes out like this; Is there a new setting somewhere? If anyone can share any light on this, it would be great as it is really bothering me now. If relevant, I am using an iPhone. thanks.

I accidentally entered the wrong date of birth on the strava app, and I am now unable to use messages or allow access to use heart rate data. It won’t let me change it on the app and returns with “Something went wrong” and displays “This change is not allowed” on web.

Hello Strava,I've been trying to rename my gear for quite some time now. Specifically, I just want to change it from lowercase to uppercase letters — from ASICS gel-nimbus to ASICS Gel-Nimbus. However, when I save it, it reverts back to the name with lowercase letters. I assume this must be a bug. Or am I doing something wrong?Thank you for your feedback.

Latest version of Strava on Samsung S24 and Samsung Watch Ultra.Today was my first cycle commute of the new year and first since getting the watch. Reviewing my e-bike ride, kCal is available on my watch, only. It doesn’t appear anywhere for that activity on my phone, or on the website on desktop. Instead, I’m getting a new stat about “carbon saved”, which is meaningless - Strava doesn’t know if I normally walk to work, get a train, or bus, or drive an electric car or a gas-guzzling panzerwagen.Can you add back the actually useful and meaningful ‘calories’ stat to the phone and website interfaces, please?

I have been looking into some 3D views of routes after activity (replay 3D thingy) and found it rather dry, gets boring after a while. I was watching some cycling greats routs (cough Pogacar cough) at 150+km, therefore have some suggestions:Include compass at the bottom of the map, this will help orientation, either with true north or with reference to a landmark or the destination or the goal. Consider including a mini map of the entire route (again, at the bottom), this will help keep track of the bigger picture When an athlete enters a segment, show a pop-up (a bubble of some sort) of the current segment KOM (or best time or whichever applicable) comparing directly to the athlete. This way, you can track where the athlete had gains or slowdowns for future improvements.  

I’ve already submitted a ticket, so just waiting on that, but figured I would mention this in case others are seeing anything similar or had other ideas.I ran into an interesting situation this morning when skimming through some segments I like to keep tabs on.  I have had the KOM on this one since June of 2021.  Everything looked fine the last time I checked earlier this week, but when I looked today, I was not listed in the “top times” section on the top right of the page.   When I scrolled down to see the leaderboard, I saw my time from June was still showing in the 1st spot on the list, but I also had another entry down in 10th (my 2nd fastest time on the segment), so I was actually showing on the leaderboard in two spots at the same time.  My first place time was not registering as the KOM.  I opened that specific activity file from June 2021 and nothing there showed anything wrong.  No flags, no suspicious tagging from auto-detection.  I then checked my KOM list on

I'd like to see a time to distance overlap in my progress overview, for running specifically. By day like in the weekly scale, maybe moving minutes with the distance? For a quick visual. I'd like to see that in my progress files, for looking back onto.Just as a female, information I'm currently collecting is to see what weeks I am strongest and then comparatively weaker requiring rest.Where does my endurance improvements meet my fatigue limits. If I was smarter, I could word this better, but I'm not so I run for fun. 

For a segment I created, it shows my PR as being 5:37, but under the Overall All Time Leaderboard, my best time is shown as 6:15, it does not show my PR there...its not the first time, but does not occur on all segments...

With the recent attempts to ‘clean up’ segments I can understand the deletion of duplicates. However many quite normal and popular segments have just disappeared. And yet there are still flagged segments on my desktop feed. Why aren’t all flagged segments immediately removed in one overnight purge, and any segment not ridden in 5 years [this would remove most bad GPS segments, and old abandoned training route.] Perhaps give people the chance to nominate segments for deletion or renaming rights.

I think my stats are either wrong or just missing things. My all time longest ride says 50 miles but that is not correct. I have a 100 virtual mile ride that when I go to the actual ride says it’s my longest ride but is not showing up in stats. This all makes me curious if my entire stats are off or not being tallied correctly     

I’d like a business page like FB does or YT where i can have multiple pages.I want to connect with my customers and share my rides WITHOUT disclosing my person name and account. Keeping the Hidden areas like my house and close friends.Is there a business page for Strava and can it mirror my rides under my business name? Auto sync..

Hello, i encountered problem with strava that it stoped showing statistics in my profile. It all worked last year perfectly but this season after doing some workounts arround 200km i can’t see any of my stats in profile. Here is picture attached of blank spots. Statistics is empty in my profile  but in others profiles i shows everything. Any solution to this issue ?Thanks. 

I created a club to invite some friends to. My whole purpose for doing so was so that we could do challenges. How do I do this?
