Is anybody struggling to build a route today? I have tried across multiple devices and in manual and non-manual mode and the result is the same. I keep getting the error message telling me to make the way points closer even though I am doing this. This is very frustrating as I really need to get this route built ASAP. I have turned off devices, restarted them,  re-logged in et cetera, all the normal things but nothing seems to be making any difference! Any ideas please?

The past couple of days I have been unable to create routes in Strava. It’s very strange because I have had no issues in the past. The process of creating a route starts okay, but then as points around 50km, I get the following error message...“Error: Sorry, we couldn’t complete that action. Please try plotting the point again. This can occur when routing across large distances, so try plotting more frequent waypoints that are closer together.”I follow the direction in the error message and it doesn’t help. If I cancel out of the route in progress, and start over again, I get the same error message almost at the beginning of mapping out a route.This is very frustrating! Has anyone else had this issue lately? Have you been able to resolve it? If so, how?

Hi, noticed today that my whoop was transmitting my heart rate data during my workout but once I finished the workout and saved it no heart rate data was shown and said something like “start training with heart rate sensor to unlock more insights”already tested resetting the whoop to Strava connection and to record other workouts and a run and none of those activities would recognize my HR data after the workout was finished (even though I saw the BPM during workout)is there a known bug or so?

I use a garmin HRM pro. I use to see the heart rate after a workout (mean, Max, Zones etc). But now I only see the heart rate in the strava app during the workout. But after the workout there is no results from the heart rate. I can see heart rate resultater from workout I did last week. Anyone know how to fix it?

There may be two problems here: I have used a polar heart monitor for more than one year without issues. then the processed activity started to show graphs which had a flat heart rate intermittently within the exercise. A new battery made no difference. I assumed the monitor had broken down and bought a HRM PRO Garmin. While exercising I can see a heart rate which is in line with the activity of that moment. After the activity has been processed there is no heart rate graph at all. I have reloaded the Strava app to make sure it is the most up to date version. I have paired the monitor a number of times. Nothing gives me the desired result. Please let me know what else I can do or if there is a software hiccup which only you can fix? thanks.

Once again, a basic capability of Strava that was working fine has decided suddenly to not work at all.Trying to create a route. Select my start point, fine. But when I select another point, no matter how close or far, I get the dreaded "Error: Sorry, we couldn’t complete that action. Please try plotting the point again.This can occur when routing across large distances, so try plotting more frequent waypoints that are closer together." Closer together than 1 km???And yes, tried this in multiple browsers, same story. Even tried importing an existing route and editing it ... same story, the big red banner.Any help/comment/feedback/suggestions appreciated. Just doing my head in.

I want to create a route visiting 270 postcodes I have. Is there a way of not plotting this one-by-one, either in Strava, or a third party option?(No problem splitting route in half if file too large)with thanks

Hi, I am developping a device that tracks your surfing, and my goal is for the device to create a FIT file that can be uploaded to Strava and display information about the surfing session. For a start, this information would be whether I am paddling or not, and the number and time of the waves taken.Diving into the FIT file format it looks like it might not be super easy to store boolean data (like paddling/not paddling). Do you have any recommendations about how to best display these kind of things on the app?Also, not all information present in the FIT file seems to be displayed on the Strava website/mobile app. For instance, I thought about using FIT Event messages (event_mesg.event = FIT_EVENT_SPORT_POINT and event_mesg.event_type = FIT_EVENT_TYPE_MARKER) to mark the point where I catch waves, but they are not displayed on the app. Is there a list of all the information from FIT files that can be displayed on Strava ?Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and use the Strava app however everyday it frustrates me no end because it requires the screen to be used for most running functions - including a simple start and stop.  Typically I’m sweaty and therefore swiping the screen or pressing the screen buttons will not work.  Can the settings be changed to use the actual buttons of the watch instead?Next, if you are trying to appeal to runners, I’d suggest trying to incorporate more running features… even the ability to use for interval training.And finally, the app is often slow.

Hello, I shared this in another post, but since the owner of that (now marked as solved) thread believes this might be a different issue, I wanted to create a new topic. I use an Apple Watch Ultra and the native Apple Fitness app to record my runs. I sync the activities to the Strava iPhone app. I’m having issues with split paces for runs where there are pauses and resumes during the run. This also affected my PRs — now I have dozens of strange PR values (e.g., 3–4–5s/km!). There are lots of people (including two of my friends) having this issue for a very long time. It’s really strange that it still hasn’t been identified by Strava. If they looked at the strange PRs recorded with Apple Watch, they would definitely notice this. Here’s my typical running scenario where I encounter this problem consistently:• I start a run using the native Fitness app on my Apple Watch Ultra.• I run ~3 km.• I pause the activity on the watch.• I wait or walk for a few minutes.• Then I resume and run anoth

I have a question - why there is no option to load all photos and videos beforehand when I save a workout from my Garmin? For me, the workout first appears, then I add videos and photos. And in the meantime, up to 50 people give kudos, for an empty workout without photos!It should rather be that I have to load all media first, and save the workout and publish it on the feed at the end, when everything is ready.Please do this, because otherwise people watch empty workout records sometimes for 10 minutes because I have a lot of videos from the camera, and I care about a good presentation of the activity. 🚴🌟

Hi Strava API Team,I’m currently integrating Strava into my application using the OAuth flow, and I’m successfully retrieving data for users who authenticate via Strava Login.Now I would like to use webhooks to get real-time updates (especially activities) from multiple users who have authenticated via my app. However, I have some questions regarding how this works: Is it possible to register a single webhook callback URL and receive activity updates for all authenticated users? Or do I need to register a separate webhook subscription for each user? If only one webhook subscription is allowed per app (as mentioned in the docs), how can I identify which user triggered the webhook event? Do I need to store each user's athlete_id upon login to match webhook payloads with users in my database? Any clarification or best practices on how to handle webhooks for multiple users in a single application would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

I'm currently working with the Strava API and using the GET /athlete endpoint to retrieve authenticated athlete data. However, I noticed that the response does not include the athlete's date of birth, even when requesting all available scopes (such as profile:read_all).My question is: Is there currently any way to retrieve the athlete's date of birth through the Strava API? If not, are there any known workarounds or plans to include this field in future updates? This data would be extremely useful for age-based features such as performance grouping, personalized training plans, or leaderboard segmentation.I've also sent a feature request to the Strava API team, but I wanted to check here in case anyone has encountered and solved this issue, or if there are any unofficial methods or fields I might have missed.Thanks in advance for your help!

Since a couple of weeks ago I get an annoying "vignetting" effect that blurs out the surroundings whenever I zoom out of an activity map in the mobile app. That makes it difficult to quickly assess the location of the route relative to the surrounding geography. It's also just plain annoying because it looks like a gratuitous feature that no one asked for.Can that be rolled back or made optional?

Is the Strava weather feature only available for the paid version? The toggle switch within the settings> weather menu is greyed out for me 

the last 3 activity i was doing, haylou apps and strava moving time is so different. in haylou apps it was 40 minutes while in strava it just 12 minutes. it affect my other info at strava. i connected my haylou solar ultra to the strava app. is it my watch that was wrong or what. what should i do? 

when trying to share activity on Facebook, it started yesterday, I get a random thumbnail of a woman (and it's not a prior photo I've used) when sharing the link, rather than the preferred image I use or even the map anymore.Anyone else has this issue? Is it something I’m doing wrong? or just strava?

I need data from Strava which I will use for my academical research and willing to sign Non Disclosure Agreement. How do I go about that?

First off, I am happy to see the big improvement in the automatic detection of impossible efforts across more activities.  Specifically, I am seeing it a lot more for running where people who are posting activities with sub 4 min/mile paces are frequently being marked as having a problem.  This is good and a great step forward from where things were. However, there is still an issue.  These activities that have been marked as auto-detected are still being listed in the challenge leaderboards.  The top 20 of the 5k running challenge for example is almost all activities that have been marked with “We detected an issue with this activity”.  Some of them are a week old and still showing on the leaderboard.  Why aren’t those activities removed from the leaderboard immediately when they are detected?  If the person ends up clearing up the issue, then the activity can be re-indexed onto the leaderboard, but in the meantime, they should be removed as soon as the system sees there is an obvious
