Add club to athlete via API

HI, can I simply add a club to an athlete using PUT by providing the club ID (e.g. 1234)?If yes, does it override the active clubs? Thanks! 🙂

Vitesse en velo surnaturel 🚀 plus rapide que des professionnels

Bonjour je trouve dommage que l'on puisse accepter des sorties en vélo avec des vitesses a plus de 100km pour des amateurs quelconque ou des montées d'un col plus vite que des cyclistes professionnels... La plus part du temps oublie d'arrêter l'application après les sorties de vélo... Et roule en voiture après et si ça ne choque personne !!!!  dû coup les segments sont faussés... Cordialement et vive le sport sans triche à bon entendeur

API POST to /activities

I am currently developing a mobile application and many of our users ask us if they can export their workouts to Strava.  We can post some workout data to /activities https://developers.strava.com/docs/reference/#api-Activities-createActivity through your API but, the workout data is very limited. Is there a way I can post all of the variables under https://developers.strava.com/docs/reference/#api-models-DetailedActivity to /activities or another endpoint? That would allow sending more complete data from our users to Strava.Thanks!

How to record inside a covered VeloDrom?

I’m a little confused. I am a longtime Strava paid subscriber but I don’t use community resources much. I recently started riding the VeloDrome in my town. On road rides I use both apple watch and wahoo element to track activity. What’s the best way to record inside a covered VeloDrom. It’s under an inflated dome.

New to Community: from Yorkshire, England!

Good morning from Yorkshire, England !  I love to Road cycle, club & solo to explore, enjoy fresh air and company. I cycle between 60-100 miles per week, whatever the weather (almost!). I also walk around London a lot as it’s quick and you get to observe a lot more. i look forward to learning from the group. Thanks !

Club Activity and suggestions

Hello everyone,I am the president of the exercise science club at Chatham University and we are trying to mix things up this year with our events. I would really like to be able to host group challenges for the club to get students active and participating, the only problem is in order to do group challenges you have to have a subscription. I can understand why they would want you to have a subscription in order to make the challenges but I do not see the need to have to pay just to participate in them. More students would be interested in using the app if this feature is free so I would like find some kind of work around. I am also not sure if this is the suggestions box for the company to look at but if it isn't could someone tell me where to go please?It would be really great for the University to host private challenges for the students only. Thanks!

fix heatmaps

I understand the idea that heatmaps lines are graded so that we can see more and fewer travelled routes. But many of us are less concerned with that. Many would like to see the routes that theyve ridden, period. my most memorable rides are rides that Ive only ridden once and Id like to see them on my heatmap. But because they've only been ridden once they are so faint that I cant even see them. Ive tried playing with the colors but nothing works. make it so that all rides are solid, visable lines. Or at least make that an option like some other 3rd party apps have done.

Import activity with no GPS data

Hello, I'm trying to import my past 1900+ activities from MapMyRun. I have all activities exported in TCX format. But some activities has no GPS data (for example Gym workout). Strava bulk upload is rejecting those files. Can I somehow import them? Draw a route on an area without a path ?

It would be nice to be able to plot a route over an area without a referenced path... This is the feature that often prevents me from plotting MTB routes with your tool, whereas this feature is available on other applications, such as https://www.openrunner.com/Another good idea to take from openrunner: the fact of being able to superimpose several courses on the same map...

My feed is of activity from other countries, not my own

Posted in general, now in Developer Discussions.Hello!  I've used free version and now in 30 day trial, enjoying Strava as I prepare for the upcoming end-of-July 500 mile ride across Iowa, RAGBRAI.  I'm from USA, but the activity I'm seeing of other riders is from Brazil, Turkey, and Spain.  Surprised I do not see any from USA.  I've checked my profile and it looks okay.It labels me as Mont Blanc - not sure what that means, anyway I'm in the USA.Any ideas?Thanks!

Hello everyone,I'm writing on behalf of an Italian bike brand.I know from Giant bikes ios app you can directly add your bike to Strava gears.I haven't found a way to manage (add/remove) gears using public v3 apis, you can only read gears.Is there a way to access those kind of apis? Must we setup a partnership between Strava and the brand?

Tracking a running challenge over a month

Hi,I work for a charity, and we are running a challenge in September. I have set up a club and expect to have approx 100 people. As this runs from 1-30 September, is there any way to calculate the distance travelled by everyone in the club over this time? I see the leaderboard runs weekly, but is there any platform, upgrade or addon that would allow me to automatically track the group for a month, rather than doing this manually weekly? Thanks, Diane

Segments for over 75 years of age

I am over 75 but in Strava the oldest age group is 75 and over which includes folk who have not put in their DoB. Strava defaults this to 1900 so they become over 75.

Questions about weather data in the API.

Can anyone tell me if there are plans to add weather information besides temperature to the activities API? I know Strava's front-end displays basic weather information like feels-like and precipitation about the time an activity took place but that doesn't make its way to the API in any way I can tell.It also seems like the "average_temp" field does not show up consistently in the API. Is there a reason for this? I suspected it was older activities that did not have the data, but I cannot identify rhyme or reason why some have it and others do not.Thanks!
