I’m quietly going insane with the app. I’m really not interested in anyone’s 2 km stroll to the store or their umpteenth 45 minutes sweat fest on Zwift at a completely unrealistic speed.Allow me to just see the activities that I care to see and give kudos to.It can’t be that difficult to make a filter, after all there are simple extensions for both Chrome and Firefox that does exactly that. This has been asked a gazillion times by other athletes.

I can't figure out why only some of my bike rides show up in strava, while strength training and walking seem to always show up.  All being recorded on Apple Watch and Fitness

Nordic Skiing consists of multiple different disciplines just like Running and Cycling do.  As a minimum we should be able to choose Classic or Freestyle (skate) since there is a 10% to 20% difference is possible speed, different skis, different boots, different poles, different techniques and different wax/ski preparation.  To go a step further like has been done in Running and Cycling it could also include Ski Touring and Back County Skiing which are also quite different than Classic and Freestyle which are what we are seeing in the Winter Olympics this week.

Could you please advise whether it is possible to export time, pace, and athlete (user) name for a specific segment using the Strava API?

 bonjourJe vous écris pour vous demander un remboursement concernant un abonnement annuel Strava qui a été renouvelé automatiquement. Tout a commencé il y a un mois, lorsque ma copine et moi avons décidé de se mettre à la course et elle m'a proposé d'essayer l'abonnement gratuit d'un mois à Strava. J'ai accepté et ajouté ma carte de crédit pour bénéficier de cet essai gratuit. Cependant, aujourd'hui, soit exactement un mois après l'inscription, j'ai été facturé 59,99 € pour un abonnement annuel que je ne souhaitais pas renouveler. Je n'avais pas l'intention de continuer avec l'abonnement payant et j'aimerais demander un remboursement de cette somme, car je n'utiliserai pas le service.  Je vous remercie par avance pour votre compréhension et votre aide pour résoudre cette situation.  Dans l'attente de votre réponse, Cordialement,Ballay Nolan 

Last month I signed up for the free Strava trial, and today I tried to cancel it. In the app, when I clicked on the subscription, there was no "cancel" option, only a message asking me to access the website. I did that, checked their support page for how to cancel there, followed the instructions, and there simply wasn't an option to cancel online either. I checked Reddit and their support page, which said it should be in the Google Play subscriptions section, but I went there and it's not there. I really don't know what to do because the annual plan is about to renew automatically (and I haven't even used the premium features and I won't). Does anyone know how to help me, please?

Hi team, just trying to understand more about a couple of things. 1) We publish some routes as a trailbuilding club. Using the GPX file is mostly fine however, some routes present some kind of distortion from the original path riden. The Strava website seems to be using the heat map algorithim. Instead of highlighting  some single track bits, switch backs, etc, the map shows the path over some back roads or just more riden paths. 2) to fix that I tried using the editing tool which also turns out to be not allowing me to pull the dots and correct back to the riden path. Any idea would be nice. Thanks!

in the last month or so it can take up to at least an hour to sync my walk from my Apple Watch and now I am experiencing this with Rouvy.Has something changed with Strava or are there issues?

Hi - my recently bought Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 has issues finding the GPS when I open it pre-run.I've tried resetting the watch completely, giving all permissions to the Strava app, rebooting, clearing the cache, force stop etc, but go through periods of 'error preparing exercise, please try again' on the GPS fix screen when trying to start a run.Sometimes it does work, then other times not despite locations not varying. Not sure if this is a hardware issue but checking to see if others have the same issue...

There is a local segment that is 5 laps of a 1.3 mile loop. People generally ride this loop for hours. Today, I completed the loop 19 times with two 20 min efforts and soft pedaling in-between. The first lap is always easy to make sure the loop is clear of obstructions, the laps don’t start at the beginning of the loop, they start when my computer starts. What I’d like is for the segment to be my “best” 5 lap effort. Today, for example, that would have started with my second lap and end at the end of the 6th lap. This would have placed my time significantly higher on the leaderboard than the 3 times that were registered (lap 1-5, 6-10, 11-15). Hopefully that makes sense. Not a huge deal, just curious how that can be handled as the actual leaderboard is likely very off and I didn’t realize that was how the laps were tracked.

When I log in the dashboard, activity feed is just completely blank. I've tried clearing cache, cookies, logging out and in and even tried another browser and it's the same, the page just doesn't load (see screenshot). It's been like this for a week now and is becoming quite frustrating, i basically can't use Strava now I’ve then been to try to submit a support request, and the support request system is also not working properly for me, so now I have no idea what to do or who to contact (does anybody from Strava monitor these posts?)

Hello. I am going to start training soon for my first half marathon. I aim to run for 4 mins and walk for a minute. Does anyone know of any ladies watches in either the UK or Ireland who can repeatedly vibrate every 4 mins and every minute throughout the race? Thanks 😄 

Is there a way to remove the annoying animations with silly motivational messages that appear when saving an activity? These have recently appeared on the Android app.

Hi everyone. My wife is a big time runner - Boston Qualified this year! She’s a stud. I’m not much of a runner at all but thought I could show her some love this Valentine’s by running a Stava course that says “I (heart shape) Alyssa” - hopefully she doesn’t see this post. Anyone have any suggestions how to create that in the North Orange County, CA area? I’m not great with developing the map. I’m trying to keep it in the 10K range so I don’t completely kill myself. I appreciate the help anyone can provide. Thank you.

my partner was creating a strava account with her google account and we went through all the regular steps to create it. we set privacy controls and set up the profile and followed our friends and connected with Garmin. after a few minutes, we could not log back into the strava account both through the app or the website and we can’t see the profile anymore. how can this account be reactivated?

I’m looking to access information about posts in a running club and was wondering if there’s a way to do this via the API? Thanks.

I’d really like to be able to display the surface type for a segment, or to be able to filter by surface type when retrieving segments in an activity etc.  I can’t find anything in the documentation that exposes this as a property in segment data, but the Strava UI does allow you to specify surface type when creating routes etc so I would have thought it was available. ANy ideas/help appreciated

So on the Android Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, when i start an activity, i can see ALL activies, basically my own Heatmap.  I have been using Strava for more than 12 + years or so.  But why is it that i cannot see ALL my activities on the desktop version of Strava.I like to create new routes in new areas i have not been in, but when i am on the desktop version of Strava it only shows me one type at a time.  For example, i can see ALL hikes, on the map, but not all Hikes, Bike Rides, Runs, Trail Runs, and Walks at once.  I can see those on my phone but not on the desktop version when i am trying to create a new route and want to see all of the places i have been.  So it means i have to have multiple windows of Strava open at once just to fine tune a route (I have been to a lot of the bay area over the course of the last 12+ years.

This news seems to be circulating on a few major cycling outlets.Just being pedantic I had to go and check some local MTB climb segments ( regular cycling ) which are notorious for being abused by e-bikers.  I found no change. KOM is still an e-biker and the next 20 riders are also.    Has anyone else checked to see if this is real news based on actually delivered results?  

A few days ago I requested an increase in the number of athletes for my application.I submitted the form requesting the first increase in users to allow more authenticated users. It went from 1 to 999.Last week I submitted another form requesting an increase to more than 999, and the quantity was not changed. I requested an increase from 999 to 20,000.I would like to understand why the increase has not been updated, since the form was approved and I followed all the steps for submitting the information. 

Hi all, When I record a ride with my Apple Watch, everything works perfectly: I get the full route, heart rate, and all metrics in Strava. However, when I follow a route (for example a planned route / navigation), the heart rate data is missing, even though the route itself is recorded correctly. What is the correct way to record a ride with navigation enabled and still keep heart rate data from the Apple Watch? Should the activity be started on the Watch or on the iPhone? Is there a specific Strava or Apple Watch setting required? Or is this a known limitation?  Thanks in advance for your helpmarcel

When I attempt to upgrade to the Strava + Runner subscription I get a 'There was an error saving your changes.
